NGL, i'm conflicted about being scheduled to build at the end of this month. Who knows if Ford will stick to that build date! My nightmare fuel right now is that because I have a build week, I can't put in an order for a MY23. But if that build gets pushed back, I may be stuck on the wrong side of both timetables.

Anyone else worried about this? Not being able to place an order, but also not getting built this year?
Yes...that is a concern. You could keep your 22MY scheduled order AND order a 23MY but you loose out on any private offers.

They open up on 9/15. New orders and Carryover orders are entered together. It's up to dealers to prioritize the 22 orders by giving them a higher (lower number) priority code.
It's up to the dealers to assign a different priority number? So what is to stop a dealer from assigning a NEW '23 order the same priority number as a rollover?

This is going to get messed up for sure!

Is the 9/15 official now or is that still based on latest info? I'm sure you will have a heavy turn-out on tonight's stream!

I typed that wrong. I was told they open September 19. It there an age limit on buying a Maverick?
Best source I have seen says 9/15 no idea where you got 9/19.

Age limit?? Not sure what you mean. Age to legally buy a vehicle would be regulated by your state. I hope I get mine before I get too old to drive though..........

I don't understand how @Ford Motor Company doesn't see the problem with this....

Per Tim's comment above, 9/15 is official now...until it gets pushed last minute again by Ford.

I think it will be 4pm EST at the earliest. That is my bet. Anybody want to start a pool?

Your second one will make it. Has a VIN. Will be MY22
there’s plenty of evidence on this forum that even if you have a VIN, you can get pushed back. And with a hard stop coming up, it’s feasible you get pushed over the edge.

Thanks Tim,

As you know, the information nightmare out there just increases the pain. I will pass your information on to my salesman, but he'll likely not reply. Wish Ford would put out public documents to stop all this nonsense.

Thanks again!

They understand, they just have determined that putting the burden on the dealer was the easiest, most cost effective strategy for corporate.

Unfortunately, that also means that some unscrupulous dealers will charge extra to secure a priority 10 which should be reserved for rollover orders.

Is "10" as low as the dealer can go???
Yes.

Dealers can set retail orders to priority codes 10-19. Lower number gets higher priority. To get below 10 requires Ford corporate/regional reps to intervene.

20+ is for stock orders, 99 is never going to get built.
