Canada order banks and private offers?

FWIW I saw someone post on reddit that their dealer mentioned Oct 6 for Canada orders:

I checked with my dealer on Friday (Sept. 9th) and they said they've heard absolutely nothing from Ford Canada regarding 23' Mavericks. He guessed that order would open in 2-3 weeks (so by early October, which would in theory line up with the October 6th date mentioned above).

Would love to know if anyone has heard something more definitive though!

Why would Canada be in October? I'd check with dealer Sep 15 just in case. Ford.ca says in September sometime:

ive called numerous dealers around the GTHA

2 - sept 15th (downtown, concept)
1 - highly likely sept 15 (eastgate)
3 - no clue at all (summit erinwood, thorncrestt)
1 - said hed do some searching and will get back to me today
1 - you can oder 1 right now (ecoboost) the hybrid is not for a month or 2. (meadowvale)

i could call a few more, but ill be able to confirm at 9am tomorrow morning when I go strutting into the dealership

Just spoke (well, chatted) with Ford Canada through their website regarding when we may see 2023 order banks open here. At first the agent told me it was August 13th (obviously incorrect). I asked them to please confirm with a manager or colleague as that date has passed, and I've been trying to place an order since July.

After consulting with someone else, they apologized and said it was actually this September that order banks will open for the 2023 Maverick in Canada, but they (Ford Canada) has no info on when specifically in September they will open.

How on earth is it that a corporation as large as Ford isn't capable of planning more than 2 weeks in advanced??? We have 15 days left in this month, and apparently nobody in Canada knows when the order date will open within the next 15 days....

On the plus side I guess, the American's can start ordering sometime today according to Ford.com, so we should get a rough idea of what the order guide may look in Canada

@Ford Motor Company, Can you please help your Canadian customers? We are countiunuslay left in the dark. It's incredibly frustrating, and it's hurting your brand.

That Ford rep is only for the US, likely won't be able to tell Canadian customers anything at all.

If what they say is true, that US will be ordering for two weeks before Canada opens ! After waiting 10 months and now thousands of people will be able to jump ahead of me/us. I really want this truck but do not want to do business with ford ever again . And in my lifetime I have purchased from ford Lincoln's some Grand Marquis ,rangers, vans ,f150 250 350 some L8000 dump trucks and an LTL9000 . Better stop because I want to use foul language at them.

Emailed my dealer today, (Milton Ford) as I have on a monthly basis since ordering in Dec 2021. Got an auto response my sales person was on holiday, so I emailed his manager. All he knew was my 2022 order would not be built. No idea if it would be transferred to a 2023, no idea of any incentives for 2022 order holders, no idea of steps moving forward. No idea when order banks will open.

I'm also in Milton but refuse to deal with them as they have been nothing but evasive with me.
I put in a preorder with $500. deposit at Oak-Land Ford in Oakville back in July, was referred to the GM there Joanne W who's father worked with a good friend of mine at Ford Oakville plant and I know her mother from doing computer work for her. Anyways my assigned sales person is Alex Trindade and while he seems like a nice enough guy, he really is as much in the dark as the rest of them. Here is his note back to me this evening.

"Hello Jeff,
I spoke to my new car manager, and he reached out to our Ford rep but has not heard a response yet. He doesn’t think it opens tomorrow because he said he would have been notified by now if it opens tomorrow. I will follow up in the morning and hopefully we have an answer….thank you for your patience.

I find it very hard to believe that we will have to play 2nd fiddle to our dear American friends but it looks like it. We may find that the order banks close before any Canadian's even get a chance. If that is the case goodbye to Ford and any future business from friends and relatives.

Forward attachments to the dealership and asked some pointed questions. I may have just blacklisted myself... Ah well, maybe I didn't want a compact pickup after all.

Below is US pricing, expect ours to be approx 30% more.

Thanks for the info. I emailed my dealership (Jubilee Ford in Saskatoon) today and they haven't heard a single thing from Ford. Not sure why @Ford Motor Company is keeping Canadian dealers in the dark.

I dont believe it works that way,, oops the U.S customers bought all the Mavs so none for Canada! I forget where i read that Canada gets a certain percentage of the overall allotment, now we may be a few weeks behind in ordering but we will still get them. Just like we could not get FWD in certain trims had to be AWD, so the game is slightly different for Canada.

I contacted my dealer today at 2:30pm PST and they said they had no info on anything from Ford, he checked his computer and said it was open though.
He seemed genuinely surprised.
So I forwarded the order guide on this forum and gave him the details of my new build as it can’t be ordered in MY23 as it was in MY22.
I also asked about the MY22 special offer.
His response is pending, hopefully I’ll know by the weekend.

Man, at least we are in it together. I called my dealer in Vancouver today saying I heard order banks opened at 1:30 PST, he said they heard nothing from Ford Canada yet, and unfortunately they don’t get any of the details and information the Americans get. Someone at Ford Canada needs to be replaced with this terrible communication. 11 months in, I know nothing.
