I'm sure US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil retail sales each have their own allocations, just like US fleet sales have their own allocation.

I truly hope some smart law firm starts a class action lawsuit against them . Sign me up . I find there treatment of me and many others with signed contracts and deposits to be unfair ,harmful ,unjust and now discrimination.

We went 4 months recently with no vehicle because of this process, then finally just bought us a used high mileage Matrix to tide us over for this winter. I know there are no guarantees with a vehicle order but the lack of communication or clear policy on the order cue and reordering has been unacceptable.

I had emailed my dealer in Toronto last week and he did say Sept 15-16th would be the date for order banks to open. Ddn't hear from him yesterday so I just shot him an email to find out if he can put in our order today. ..let's see if he replies. I hope Oct 6th isn't really the date for Canada.

I am sure if you signed a business agreement with Ford and after 10 months said to them ,I am going to rip up my agreement and you can start over . They would sue the heck out of you.

There's a sales guy on one of the Canadian Maverick Facebook groups from Markville Ford in Markham claiming their system is allowing them to place orders for 2023's now.

The issue is, Ford Canada has yet to release our order guide or pricing for anything but the new tremor package. So not sure if they're actually submitting orders to Ford right now, or just prepping everything until pricing is released, triple checking their customers are OK with the price, and then submitting (after pricing is released).

I dont believe it works that way,, oops the U.S customers bought all the Mavs so none for Canada! I forget where i read that Canada gets a certain percentage of the overall allotment, now we may be a few weeks behind in ordering but we will still get them. Just like we could not get FWD in certain trims had to be AWD, so the game is slightly different for Canada.
I'm not concerned about the overall allotment. With the US order banks opening, they should have 100% known that all us Canadians would be reaching out to our dealerships requesting information. The lack of communication from Ford is ridiculous. They could have just thrown out "mid October" and most of us would have been happy with that.

I think this is exactly right. My dealer in Oakville managed to place my order last evening, however no pricing or definitive config as yet since Ford Canada has not released order guide or pricing as yet. My concern was would the US place so many orders that we here in Canada would not get any but he assured me by way of his regional rep that was not now it works. Canada will have it's own segmented allocations reserved. Made me feel a little better. Once he has pricing I will go in and sign appropriate documentation and even though I trust this dealership will ask for a copy of the COVP and the order to be signed by at least the sales manager or GM if available.

Always best to get those signed documents, "just in case". I'm confident my dealer won't screw me, but still will ensure I get signed paperwork.

I don't suppose your dealer mentioned/knows if hybrid lariat's are on the table for Canada this year? Trying to decide between hybrid XLT, hybrid XLT Lux, and hybrid Lariat (if available). If the Lariat isn't available in hybrid again, that's one easy option to take off the list. Lol

I don't think we'll know that until the Canadian order guide comes out. For sure the dealerships are more in the dark than we are. I forwarded my dealer the US order guide and pricing, including the GM, and her comment to me was, wow, how did you get that? LOL, she did thank me however and said it gives them some idea of configs and she expects pricing to be up 8-10% over last year.

I spoke with my Dealer in Toronto this morning. Order banks opened yesterday, and I told him to drop the tonneau cover, and not to order the Bed rails, nor remote start. ( I ordered in March 2022, so already incurred one price bump). Changed color from Velocity Blue to Atlas Blue. So, the order was a total of four items. XLT All wheel Ecoboost, LUX package and 4KTow and the color. He said, Canadian Prices have not been released and he said unlikely we here in Canada would get a private offer. Hopefully, with exchange rates it shouldn't be more than 35% difference. US dollar very strong against the Canadian. I'm thinking the price increase will be around $2,500 Canada. But for a model year newer...

I ordered in December 2021 and don't have a truck. Order banks did not open on Thursday for Canadians. I called six Ford Dealers and confirmed that. Croley, that Dealer is either lying or is misinformed. Very frustrating that Ford of Canada hasn't released any information on when order bank is opening or what private offer (if any) are going to be made to those who didn't have their 22MY built

My calls with the 6 dealers in the GTA and Niagara region was 6.30pm EST on Thursday Sept 15. At that point none of them said the order bank was open in Canada

Funny, I did the same thing.
Got a similar result as well.
My dealer was able to build the truck in the system but no pricing and not 100% sure on using US option codes; he said some small things might be different for Canada (he didn’t elaborate).
So hurry up and wait for Ford Canada to release an order guide and pricing…

If I got this right, so far;
-I’m not getting any info from my dealer or Ford Canada.
-The dealer isn’t getting any info from Ford Canada.
-Ford Canada is probably behind in getting any info from Ford HQ.
-Ford HQ changes it’s info/plans almost daily…
This issue has nothing to do with production (or more accurately, lack of production).
It is a management, marketing and sales issue.
The guys that build it, sell it and distribute it are all pulling the rope in different directions and the guy charged with keeping them in line is the CEO.
Seems simple to find the root cause, and even easier to fix it.
This person is not doing their job.
So frustrating…
