Maverick scheduling this upcoming week (of 8/30) for production build weeks 10/18 and 10/25

Probably because it was a rumor that Ford said that. This boards are filled with rumors and speculation that gets twisted even more as it is spread. I never saw that anywhere.

My email is on the order, that's how I got the original confirmation email from Ford (below) - but seems some of the mass emails for scheduling didn't go out. I thought I just didn't get a schedule slot and then my dealer contacted me with the build date and VIN a couple of days later.

Whatever happened with Ford's story that if you placed an order before 7/15 then it wouldn't count toward the dealer's regular allocation? Was that just smoke and mirrors?

I have no idea, I don’t work for Ford, nor do I speak for them. I am just stating an opinion based on the info I’ve seen posted by various dealers and those with orders with those dealers.

I remember that story. I ordered 6/14 thinking I made it just under the wire. I had been trying to get my dealer to figure out the ordering process because I was ready to order on 6/9. But was it really from Ford or was it internet rumor?

Tim Bartz is great but he has not been 100% correct on everything. For example he said twice that the XL did not get power adjustable mirrors with the 360 package until I showed him the printout from the Ford WBDO that my dealer gave me and he confirmed with Ford, then he corrected it in his next video.

Although I haven't ordered yet, I remember it too.

Seems really odd to me how 7/15 was supposedly the cutoff to not count towards dealer allocations, yet a dealer like Granger who probably has 50+ orders only got 5 allocations for all of the following month of August. IMO, those 5 allocations should have been for the dealer to use on stock orders or retail orders placed after 7/15; as in any retail orders they have that were placed before 7/15 should be able to be scheduled at any time without counting towards their monthly allocation number. I know that's not how it appears to be working but that whole "7/15" thing feels like it was for no real purpose now..

You hit the nail on the head, man. It feels like a made-up date to push people into ordering, which of course I did. (7/6 and still not scheduled yet.)

Ordered XLT Lux FX4 on 6/14 and it is scheduled for 9/13 production. From what has been reported on transit time, I could have it in my driveway sometime in October.

So they skipped a few weeks of emails, but scheduled the next week so really no manufacturing time was missed. I received a scheduling email on 8/12 for a build week of 10/11. Emails coming out next Thursday are for build week of 10/18.

Ordered my Lariet 4X on 6-13, order confirmed on 6-28 by Ford. Asked Dealer/sales rep last week about build dates said had no info. Still waiting for scheduled for Production.
