DRZ 400 in the bed, Tenere 700 and CB500X on the trailer. Approx 1,000lbs in the truck and 1,700lbs trailer. Vancouver, WA to Lander, WY and back. Power and ride were great although the gas mileage was a bit lower than expected, around 18mpg.
Holy Sh*t!!!!! i have sooo many questions for you!!
Im looking to haul my Husky and a getting a pupup but I was worried that the tail gate would be too close to the hitch while a bike was in the bed. do you have any more shots from the side of this setup? how was it? any issues with the tail gate potentially hitting the trailer or hitch setup?!?!

I mean every hard enduro and enduro bike today comes with hydro brakes. Baja 1000? hybro brakes everywhere. The tech is far along these days. I've kicked my 19' Husky TE250i down so many hills and brake issues have been the absolute least of my concerns. Euro brands have them pretty well dialed in for performance and reliability.

Yea I won't argue that point about a preference to trail swap. But at the same time protection parts for brake systems exist and do work very well. I just don't think many riders would take a cable system for the chance of failure over the performance of hydro. I'm obviously spoiled and can't stand the feel of cable brakes or clutches. 1-2 finger clutching is just too awesome for me.

No better shots from the side. I bought a 3.25" drop hitch and a 12" extension hitch. Just ended up using the 3.25 drop. Probably had 2" clearance from top of trailer hitch to tailgate and trailer was only slightly down from level in the front. The Maverick didn't squat nearly as much as I expected. Only issue was not being able to hookup the trailer if the bike was already in the bed, not enough clearance.

You probably already sort of answered this, but any concern with camber or hitting going up a relative steep grade or something?

My 1995 Ducati 900SS SP has a 55.5" wheelbase and a 80" overall length. Is it going to fit?
