So originally I was thinking of lifting the rear seats in my new truck a few inches and going with 3 10inch jlw7's however I am now thinking of doing a blow through with a memphis Viv 14. Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas for their new Mav?

Back in the day when I was competing I always ran 5 8". was never wanting to go too big as I wanted to keep the interior as stock as possible.

Back in the the day I had A Mazda low rider that had a Snug top with walk through 4 Kicker 15’s, 2 Kicker 8’s running off of Orion HCCA red amps.. back when sealed 15 boxes required 3.0 sq ft. each.

Wondering if someone will make a sub that can use the rear under seat storage area. Eventually, I would imagine.

My other conundrum is should I cut the blow-trough into my brand new truck 😆 being unibody it should seal a lot better than a body on frame. But do I cut it 🤔 😏

I'm looking at the Focal under-the-seat powered sub box. I'd prefer more bass, but the Mav is so quiet and I don't want to eat up space with a large sub enclosure.

I'm thinking about making one, gotta see how the mechanism works and how much free space there is. Hard to visualize without being there and testing a speaker.

Gonna just try and keep it simple and add a Kicker 46HS10 and tap into the rear speakers from the door jams. Maybe just replace the door speakers at the same time but definitely the Kicker for the lacking bass.

Your looking at a max of about .9ft³ per storage side on a non hybrid if you remove the plastic Depending on fiberglass or wood. So to make a removable box that sits into the storage area your probably in the mid .7ft³-.8ft³ range of what your box could be. Great for a sealed 8 or 10 if it's a shallow mount box. Only 9inch of depth
