So I received notification from my dealership that my Mav had a VIN and build date. Good news, but I’m curious.
I have yet to receive an email from Ford. The sales guy at the dealership sent me a picture of an email they received from Ford. I’m just curious why this email is addressed to me but sent to the dealership and why I haven’t heard from Ford (which is apparently how it should have been done?)
Maybe I’m overthinking but I was wondering if anyone else had this same scenario and if their order was fulfilled correctly? I’ll attach photo.

Because they used their email address and not yours. Like a controlling spouse, they want to manage your communication with others and used an address they can check but you can't.

I get a copy from my dealer in the afternoon the day before I get my email from Ford usually around noon so dealer has access to the emails before they are actually sent to buyer.

I had this same problem. You can call ford all you want it won’t change a thing. They will add your email to the order/ your ford account. You will never get emails because that is how the dealer set it up initially.

Best I got I found was the chat and calling the maverick line. Emails never came….but the truck did

I know, but I get my emails from both but at least in my case, a copy from dealer one or two days by text picture before the actual email from Ford. I do have an order placed for my son on 10/26/2021 that I have not received anything past the order confirmation email on. My dealer claims that they have 10 allocations available for selection among their mavericks on order with more than that at priority 2. My order is for a base XLT plus hitch and invertor which I expect to be selected soon SUBJECT to whatever the apparent constraints are. Its hard to guess but it appears to be a constraint that is a HB item across all trims, but who knows. I hope not but suspect this bottleneck to last at least 8-18 months depending on number of 2023 orders placed.

The dealer can set it up with the customer email AND with the dealership's email, so the dealership can get the info as well.

I can't tell you if it was a glitch that lead to you not receiving the email, or if they omitted adding your email. That is optional. It is not a requirement for a dealership to add the customer's email for those updates.

What is stranger to me is that many of us that got rescheduled to the September 19th build week, received this email 4 weeks out. Was under the impression that those do not go out till about 2 weeks before the production week. Does that seem curious to anyone else?

I knew there was the ability for two emails on an order, but I didn't think the dealer version would be the same as the customer version. Since I know you have the inside track, does the example here look right for what the dealer usually gets? I suppose I might be putting to much credit on ford and their ability to customize emails for different audiences. I assumed one email field when ordering was marked customer and one dealer. Or some way to indicate which email field belongs to who so the dealer doesn't get a customer facing email.

I assume they go out when scheduled at the plant and the plant schedules their build schedule so they can stock line in the configuration with a two week schedule. I further assume the the plant was able to schedule four weeks out instead of their usual two weeks. I take this as a plus that constrained items are coming in!!!!

I got a heads-up from my dealer around July 24th that my build had been scheduled for the week of Sept 12 but nothing official from Ford until 8/22.

I hope this is correct.

Yes, that does look right. The fields are clearly marked customer and dealership consultant.
Identical emails are sent to both addresses. I went back and doubled checked what we got for my own Maverick. The dealership email and my personal email received that exact same email. Same as yours, but with my name and my vin.

Huh. Good to know that the dealer copy is the same as the customer copy. I retract the half-joking part of my original comment about @Cjackson7646 's dealer being like an emotionally controlling spouse. But I do still wonder why they did not get their copy of the email when the dealer got theirs. Maybe the customer email didn't get put in alongside the dealer email.
