XLT stereo is terrible 🤨

Im old,hearing isnt great,but this stereo system in the xlt is terrible.bass and treble act like the more you try to improve it the worse it is.is it the radio or speakers that are the problem or the whole system.music is on a jump drive and sounds alot better on my wifes flex so thats not the problem.this is just terrible

With all do respect I think it's funny how opinions differ I'm 66 years old and soon to be 67 I have a hybrid XLT Maverick stock radio stock speakers have worked construction and at the firing range lots of loud noise all my life and my opinion and just my opinion alone I have no problem at all with my radio in the Maverick maybe one of these days when I get a extra $100 I will upgrade the front speakers but for now I am happy with it and have no problems yours. I was happy with replacing the rear speakers. I'll do the door and dash later.

Sounds ok to me too, 61 yrs old. I just wish the Bluetooth worked better for my XM radio.

It sounds just fine to me, but if premium audio is what you're after, I understand it's pretty easy to upgrade the speakers and add a subwoofer.

I'm 41, no hearing issues. It's better than the stereo in our VW jetta. It's definitely not good, but does the job well enough that we aren't considering aftermarket.

Sounds ok to me too, 61 yrs old. I just wish the Bluetooth worked better for my XM radio.

Get one of these for (or newer USB C) for the plugs located under the stereo… allows you us XM app on your stereo screen

There is also a sound setting where the audio can be changed to aim at the driver, that has improved my audio experience

I just had my front door speakers and tweeters replaced, it was a night and day difference . There are lots of articles here about replacing the speakers. It was totally worth the $120 it cost me.

There have been videos showing how cheap and crappy the stock speakers are. Cardboard cones and tiny magnets. Can't wait to install the panasonic 3 ways I got from amazon.

PowerBass OE65C-FD and added some sound deadening material while the panels were off.

Well im 71 but my hearing as i said isnt the best and it’s probably most of the problem.i think im going to get som front speakers and give them a try.anyone know what size they are?
