It’s started to get worse, but I’ve noticed that when I take off from a light and I put the vehicle under load (not to confuse weight in the bed) the truck shakes. I’m not sure if it’s the electric engine and the ICE working together and is having problems. Absolutely no check engine lights whatsoever. For reference, it feels like the back tires threw all the weights on it, that’s now strong it is.

I was going to put a glass of water in my cup holder to demonstrate but I stopped at raising canes on the way home.
There’s a video below showing how much the cup rocks left to right.

aside from the shake, I have no problems other than the truck shakes after 80mph. I’ll take it to the tires show to get a rebalance.

has anyone else had this problem?

this post isn’t to knock at the maverick, it’s been a great truck.

Yeah, that's not normal!

I agree that checking tire balance is a good idea. Probably wouldn't hurt to make sure the lug nuts are tight as well.
Blown motor mount ? Probably zero chance but...

If you do get tires checked search for Load Balance service. It measures a lot more than just weight distribution.

If it's only under load it's not the tires. Something is loose (out of spec) in the front suspension. Rub your hand over the tires tread and check for irregularities.
I wouldn’t think front end because you can’t feel it in the wheel, only your butt

Did you change anything just before it started the shaking? New wheels/tires, etc.
Were there any other drivers of the truck besides you?
At what speed does the shake start while under acceleration?
Probably a good idea to try to determine if it repeats the shake with electric only, if that is possible.
And as one poster said check motor and transmission mounts. Put it on a lift and see if anything is loose.

I would think if it was a misfire you'd get a trouble light. Have you hit a pot hole or ditch? May have a dent in a rear wheel. Or just caused some runout. Tread separation could cause that too. Not familiar with hybrids so all I got.

There where a few more threads about this during the cold months and it happen twice to me. The situation you described doesn’t quite match. With me and others it was about 5 blocks from a cold first start in the morning. Low speed and steady about 25miles per hour. Taking the foot completely off the gas, stops it. From my limited memory there is a software patch for this. Gas pump gets into a feedback flow issue a the engine gets into a bad rhythmic shake as a result

Another guess would be the harmonic clutch plate that links the engine flywheel to the trans input. But ultimately the answer is pretty much 'let a dealer fix it'.

Could need to do road force balancing. I had the same issue with my Colorado(drinks sloshing out of the cup at certain speeds). It’s basically bad tires. The Chevy dealer went through 7 new tires to find 4 good ones. You’ll need to find a ford dealer that has a road force balancing machine.

Under load only would seem to rule out a tire and if butt only and you are AWD, could it be something in the rear drive components not tightened properly and you get a bit of shake, kind of like when we had rear differentials and it was not totally secure or the track bar bushings were slightly loose?

Maybe a cv joint? My Nissan would ride normal but if I stomped on the gas or towed anything, the car would vibrate really bad. Cv joint was going bad. Really shook when you let off the throttle.

Hello there, Ron. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into your vehicle concern on my end.
