time to replace the SquirrelsIt’s started to get worse, but I’ve noticed that when I take off from a light and I put the vehicle under load (not to confuse weight in the bed) the truck shakes. I’m not sure if it’s the electric engine and the ICE working together and is having problems. Absolutely no check engine lights whatsoever. For reference, it feels like the back tires threw all the weights on it, that’s now strong it is.
I was going to put a glass of water in my cup holder to demonstrate but I stopped at raising canes on the way home.
There’s a video below showing how much the cup rocks left to right.
aside from the shake, I have no problems other than the truck shakes after 80mph. I’ll take it to the tires show to get a rebalance.
has anyone else had this problem?
this post isn’t to knock at the maverick, it’s been a great truck.
It’s definitely an engine component. I have no vibration at any speed, only under loadI would think if it was a misfire you'd get a trouble light. Have you hit a pot hole or ditch? May have a dent in a rear wheel. Or just caused some runout. Tread separation could cause that too. Not familiar with hybrids so all I got.
I’ll let you know when I hear back! ThanksIt is the inner CV alxe that is going bad. Ask me how I know, well mine Hybrid I noticed starting leaking grease out of the inner CV axle boot on the passenger side and now when I accelerate hard the whole front end shakes untill I back off the throttle. I have an appointment with my dealer at the end of the month to get that CV axle replaced.
So after the f/w update you haven't had it again? I'm gonna be ordering a 2023 when the orders go live and this is the only thing giving me pause on the Hybrid. I don't want to have to deal with something like this on a brand new car. There where a few more threads about this during the cold months and it happen twice to me. The situation you described doesn’t quite match. With me and others it was about 5 blocks from a cold first start in the morning. Low speed and steady about 25miles per hour. Taking the foot completely off the gas, stops it. From my limited memory there is a software patch for this. Gas pump gets into a feedback flow issue a the engine gets into a bad rhythmic shake as a result
The way I see it, it’s under warranty. It’ll work out in the end. The savings on gas is so great, it was worth getting the hybrid. I still haven’t taken it in. But I need an oil change, a recall, and then have the shake addressedSo after the f/w update you haven't had it again? I am currently sitting at the dealer. I brought the truck in for the recall, an oil change, and the shaking. I was told that no one is available to look at the shake until at least monday. I am unable to leave the vehicle for that long ever because it is my only vehicle and I am self employed. I also wasn't given a loaner for the recall for be prepared to wait around.

I reached out to ford to see if its possible for them to provide a loaner. If not, I will drive this until it strands me. Then it'll go to the shop.
Somebody posted a complaint with the harmonic balancer between the engine and transmission starting to fail on some of the hybrids causing the shuddering, No recalls yet but a don't mean muchIt’s started to get worse, but I’ve noticed that when I take off from a light and I put the vehicle under load (not to confuse weight in the bed) the truck shakes. I mean it seems like we need someone’s to break so the dealer can open up a case with ford.I don’t have a hybrid but I have a constant shake when driving and a loud bang when braking and turning, my dealer cannot figure it out after 3 attempts of just taking off the tire and checking suspension! I am getting really pissed, I’ve had it for about a year and it’s been doing it since about the start, only 7700 miles on it! My dealer wants me to drive it until it breaks, no thanks I just bought a cheap van to drive until they fix it! HEY FORD ACCOUNT, How about you look into this!
I have a strong feeling it’s the motor mounts!I mean it seems like we need someone’s to break so the dealer can open up a case with ford.
