Yup ford about get under cut by Chevy I think . If Chevy is smart . EV WT work truck model will arrive in Spring 2023, while the fully-loaded RST First Edition will land in Fall 2023. More trim levels will arrive as production ramps.
That SilvErado bed/tailgate/cabin configuration is wicked impressive.

What's the Chevrolet Silverado EV price? The Silverado EV WT will start at $41,595 including destination, while the fully-loaded RST First Edition will be $106,695. Between those two models will be a huge amount of options, allowing the car to be priced at $50K, $60K, $70K, $80K, and more.May 1, 2022 . Oh yea ford going get under cut ..

You bring up a good point. *Tip toe-ing the politics taboo this site observes* This Inflation Reduction Act does stipulate the EV must be manufactured in the U.S. to qualify for the rebate, and the LIghtning is being manufactured in Dearborn so this price increase is not so coincidentally about the same as the rebate. hmmm..
Yep, makes perfect sense and also the battery components MUST come from a specific list of countries to qualify for the full rebate. Also, the $80k cap on price eliminates the rebate for all extended range models. ouch!

A lot of people are watching intently to see if GM delivers on the huge number of BEV promises they've made. Like a $30,000 Equinox BEV. I'm cheering them on and hoping they deliver, but at the same time I'm in "show me" mode. Show me the product and show me the price and show me the availability.

Is it because the Feds don't think you need a rebate if you're in the market for an $80k+ vehicle?

I doubt the Maverick goes up much more at launch. Batteries are going to be expensive with the increased demand from the new tax break, and the Maverick has fewer. Maybe another $500 or so on the hybrid to make it more expensive than the Ecoboost.

Well, you guys are obviously focused on the hybrid here. Of course, no one knows, but given the rush all auto makers are making to boost EV production, I'd say the competition for batteries and the raw materials that go into batteries will be fierce, driving prices higher.

As an Ecoboost customer, I am not as concerned about price increases. And while we can all agree prices won't come down, I do not expect a major price increase of $6k on the price of a gasoline-powered Maverick. That would be like a 25% increase in the base price of the vehicle.

Great. My one year wait for the Lightning (reserved 8/2021) is rewarded by a $7k price hike. Thanks Ford.
I believe you're price protected, and the price increase applies to MY23 only.

Believe it when you see it. Things seem to change weekly in the automotive world, and what GM thought they could build an EV truck for six months ago might not be close to what they can build it for six months from now.

I'm not saying it won't happen. Just saying you're crazy to assume it will.
