On my way home from work and had the a/c on max when I got a phone call. Once I hung up, I noticed the hvac fan speed increase. When its all the way on max cool, it is a bit noisy so I wondered if the fan speed had slowed down due to the phone call. I made another phone call to see and yes it did slow down during the call and sped back up once I hung up.

Obviously this was done to reduce the background noise when making a bluetooth phone call. I guess most cars do this but I never noticed it until today.

This is normal for most vehicles that have been release since 2016 maybe earlier.
I don’t recall noticing it on my 2013 model car.

I never turned it on, but reminds me of our Subaru feature where the radio volume can increase with how fast you are driving. Ups the volume when you speed. Haha. Sort of the opposite of what you are describing, but you know what I mean. Intentional noise reduction or increase as a result of some other input.

My other cars are from 2011 and 2013 so that would explain why this was the first time I noticed this feature.

That is part of the current Maverick entertainment system, along with 'centering' the sound for the whole cabin or centering around the driver when it is a sole occupancy. Options hidden away in menus...

Hi there. This fan concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Maverick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

B&O system has that option of speed controlled volume. Several settings.
