I wouldn't bank on "Fad" colors holding value unless it is a sports car or a one off. Playing it safe can be boring. Carbonized Gray is already discontinued.

Agreed. Absolutely love my velocity blue XLT! I live in Colorado Springs and nearly every truck I see is either white or black, and showing the dirt. My blue XLT stands out everywhere, which may not be a good thing since I sometimes have a heavy foot!White vehicles make me think of rental cars and fleet trucks. They show more dirt but I prefer darker colors.
May have more to do with price than color.Make mine Oxford White, Thanks!
After seeing an Oxford White Maverick and an A51 Maverick (XLT's) I've decided to change the color on my upcoming order from Carbonized Gray to Ox White!
I've been a little unhappy with all of the XLT base colors in pictures (except Ox White) because they look flat and therefore bland to me. I am not a person to do much polishing and detailing!
I think Oxford White is the only base color that looks great with the stock gray XLT mags, so I will save a grand on aftermarket wheels! Additionally, I will be able to use $109 stock black steelies (Tire Rack) for my winter tires, without the truck looking too hideous (for me at least).
I've never owned or even considered a white car or truck, so I'll see if I like it after it arrives sometime in the future!
I realize color is mostly or merely a personal preference, so if you disagree with my color choice - That's Cool!
Happy Maverick-ing.

Uh oh! Some got butthurt over their color choice!
Most people (in the past) just buy what’s on the lot. So Ford or the dealer pick the colors. And most fleet trucks are probably white, so that may skew those numbers.Best-Selling Car Colors by Body Style

If I'm not mistaken, F-150's get Carbonized Gray Metallic and Mavericks get Carbonized Gray, two different colors. Speaking of 2022 colors.Carbonized Grey Metallic has metal flake in it, not flat at all. Looks incredible in person, especially if clean.
I agree about Carb! This video has it side by side with A51 and Alto. The Mav color is named Carbonized Grey Metallic.Carbonized Grey Metallic has metal flake in it, not flat at all. Looks incredible in person, especially if clean.
Good to hear that, that's what I'm getting. Wonder what it would look like in metallic?Photos do a bad job of showing color I've seen. Got Area 51 and was nervous how it sometimes looked dull in photos. Not true in person.
My Window Sticker says Carbonized Grey Metallic for 2022 Maverick. If I'm not mistaken, F-150's get Carbonized Gray Metallic and Mavericks get Carbonized Gray, two different colors. Speaking of 2022 colors.
