Cheapest available rims

Sorry if this has been covered already - I tried to search but couldn’t find anything. I’m looking for the absolute cheapest set of rims available that fit the Maverick. Aesthetics are completely irrelevant to me on this issue - just looking for a spare set of wheels for snow tires. I would call the junkyards. You should find OE escape/transit/focus wheels for about $25 each. They might even pull em for ya and mount your tires for $15 or $20 a rim.

I haven't seen any Maverick or Bronco Sport take-offs for sale near me (southern NH).

What other cars/trucks have wheels that are a good fit?
I'd like to match the offset as well as bolt pattern and center bore.

Wheel-size confirms that the Bronco Sport has the same offset specification; Ford Escape and Transit Connect do not. (They're 50mm.)

I thought of this and looked at Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. Around here it seems the Maverick steelies are fetching a pretty high premium- like $500-600 for the set. I’ve seen lots of folks saying that Escape rims fit - anyone know what model years/generations of Escape? Thanks.

Is there a reason to be concerned about the offset disparity here, other than aesthetics?

I used to buy steel wheels for my winter tires. But I keep my vehicles 12 years or more and the damned things wouldn't hold up. They'd always rust to the point where they wouldn't hold air well (poor bead sealing). So I'd have to wire-wheel and repaint them. Just a total PITA.

I now spend $115 or so each on inexpensive alloys and don't have to mess with it. Well worth the additional money to me. And I get better aesthetics as well.

Vermont road salt and brine eats powder coated anything for lunch. Trailer hitch, steelies, running boards all look like they are 90 years old by the second winter. Gotta dip it to save it.

You are not looking hard enough. You can get steelies on this website in the Marketplace section for $200-$250 a set ALL DAY LONG.

I don't know! (Am I allowed to say that on this forum?)

Seems to me that Escape wheels w/ +50mm offset will move the tires in by a half inch on each side compared to +37.5mm.

If someone reports they don't have any clearance problems with that setup on their Maverick, I doubt that a half inch would be too noticeable for aesthetics. Since your new wheels are for winter use the snow tires will have a greater impact on handling than wheel offset.

For what it's worth, a couple of tire/wheel sites recommend you don't change offset by more than 5mm.
