well that's kind of discouraging. I anticipated a week, or less, to ship and then it would wonder on up here and live happily ever after. did not realize it could get stuck in "ship mode". I see the ship bubble does not have a check mark, on your truck, hmmmmmm

So "in production" means in a queue, and not in production. Got it. You should submit an application to work for Ford.

I don't think "in production" means what you think it means. I interpret it to mean that you've been sent to the factory's production queue. Not that it's necessarily being built on the line yet.

I ordered my hybrid XLT with Lux package, 360, and a few other options in August 2021. Dropped the hard tonneau cover as advised by Ford. Had the VIN, was supposed to be built on June 6, 22, then got moved to 6/27., then 7/4, then who knows when? I think Ford should just allow us to change to the 2023 order instead of getting the 2022 model right around the time when others are getting their 2023 Mavericks. Honda, Kia, and a few others are already selling 2023 models, and my 2022 is not even being built.
you got a VIN, you will get built by end of production in October. Anyone ordering a MY2023 even on the 1st day will be looking at minimum 3-6 months to get built and more to get shipped. Highly unlikely anybody gets a 23 at same time or before the last 22s are delivered. The supply chain and delivery problems are still ongoing at least through 1st half of 2023...

yep, some people reported being "in production" for several weeks. FYI, I saw a little nugget in an article recently that said Maverick and Bronco Sport SHARE 1 assembly line!?! If true that explains a lot about throughput/output for monthly numbers built. I was assuming they had at least 2 lines in Hermosillo...

what size bed is on your "spectacular" 9 year old SUV?
Its not even an SUV... I do food delivery, so realistically any car is fine. Plus the rear seats have a bunch of legroom with the front seats all the way back (which i need), more than any SUV or truck ive ever been in.

Also I'm actually glad i backed out like i did, because a week later the hybrid was on recall for being an actual fire hazard. Yeah. That wouldn't have been "spectacular".

I have seen pictures of the Maverick line and in the background you can see the line for the Bronco Sport.

Even with a VIN and a ‘confirmed’ (quotes derisively intentional) build start of 8-1, bit the bullet last week to put new tires, tie rods, alignment and brakes in the ‘08 Taurus X, cuz it was a viable candidate for the Ralph Nader Club (unsafe at any speed).
Figuring it’ll be another 3-4 months before delivery, without any added complications from a possible rail strike, recall or ‘stop sale’ actions.
And so it goes…

Hey Ford! You don’t send us anything in Canada! I ordered 9 months ago, even a single email would be nice, my dealer now assumes I will get a 2023, ya hosers.

🇨🇦🤷🏻‍♂️
We get the same in South Canada, too. The last email they sent me was 06/21 confirming my reservation. Been crickets since.

I’m so sorry you all keep getting your dates pushed! Ours was built April 28th landed in the Portland train yard on May 27th and had it’s catalytic converter stolen that night. It’s been in Portland ever since. Because, go figure, catalytic converters are on back order with no eta! Ugh. I feel like I’m waiting for a build date all over again. 🥺

I cancelled my maverick order after it got delayed past August. That's telling me its getting rolled over, and i couldnt wait any longer. Waited already 8 months for Ford to keep delaying it further, so I instead had to get a 2013 Lexus ES 300H in spectacular condition and has leather seats plus a sunroof, plus most importantly, isnt recalled for being a literal fire hazard. I really was going to give ford a chance, they kind of let me down on a relatively simple to build car. The dealership was amazing, it's a shame ford had so many "constraints" for a base model truck.

Edit: for clarity on future commenters, i preordered the hybrid in September. I was set on this truck being how cheap it was and it would be perfect for work. The dealership first told me at the end of May it would be in production june 6th. June 6th came and I called, they said it got delayed again. Mind you, FORD wasn't giving me the information until a few weeks later, the DEALERSHIP was giving me every update as soon as it got to them. I tried looking up the production status for my truck, and somehow its not even in the production state anymore, it went backwards. The dealership (Riata Ford in Manor Texas) was amazing, but Ford is horrible at communication. I called it quits when the DEALERSHIP got the info that it was getting delayed to the end of August. Aint no way Ford is giving model year 2022 vehicles when you cant even drive the car more than 1/3 that year. It had to have been getting rolled over at that point. Like i said, the dealership was amazing, and i honestly would have done business with them had FORD stopped delaying the truck so much. I needed a car now, because 15 MPG + premium is getting super expensive now. The ES 300h does around 32 MPG on regular gas, and honestly im happy with that given its got all sorts of luxury goods too.
You should have taken delivery and immediately sold it for a $5,000 gain. My opinion.
