He's in PA, that is nice fresh water. When I was younger in NC we would back the truck up until you heard the exhaust bubble hit the brakes. The boat would slide off nice and gently. We would have someone holding a rope tied off to the boat to pull it to the side. We had it down pretty good. It is nice when you don't have to worry about salt... in the water anyway

I know I won't be adding any more bass than what the stock subwoofer provides. Those days of annoying the cars around me at the light are over with. I'm more about refining and improving the mids and highs to allow the sub to compliment the overall listening experience. Hopefully I can stop at the door and c pillar speakers, but every after market upgrade just makes the difference in sound quality from the oem speakers that more stark.

More than likely I end up replacing the dash tweeters and center.

Good news. I think i can stop now. Upgrading the door and c pillar speakers and adding sound deadening material did the trick.

Bad news. Now the s/o wants the speakers upgraded in her tesla. Gonna do it as an early birthday gift to her. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Am I right? Sure beats perfume or a designer handbag.

KICKER CS Series CSC4 4 Inch Car...
Easy to replace once you get passed removing the plastic. Gotta remove the panels starting from below the seat going up to the actual speakers. Recommend watching blakescar2 YouTube channel to get an idea.



When you get to removing the speaker panel, I found it easier to push up and pull out to remove the first clip closest to you so you have enough room to unscrew the speaker. Then you'll have room to get to the second clip in the back to push up and pull out.

As for the speaker, it's a definite improvement over the B&O. Clear mids and highs, but I'd take a look at the polk db652 if you're looking for a little more bass.

Edit: disregard that polk db652 suggestion. I got my speakers crossed up working on 2 vehicles at a time. They only come in 6.5. You'll need 4 inch speakers for the c pillar..

While all the great news from Ford was hitting the press today, I installed my $28.35 hood scoop.
How did that happen? Well $399 list, Ford Parts 20% discount for July, 42k Ford pass points and a $100 bird dog/finder fee from dealer.

Not very happy with the overall design, but it will grow on me just like mud flaps.
