Unless I was in dire need of a vehicle I would not drop anything and just take the 23' offer, whatever that will be. You get the newer model with possibly more options.

None if this should come as a shock though. Do you see this situation improving anywhere? At least Ford is trying to get ahead of this.

One serious question though, my current Lariat LUX + CP360 already clicks all the most severe constraints. Even it would be put on the foremost of '23 queue, what would happen if the majority of '23 orders take the hint and order only less constrained, would that make my rollover '22 order stay in the constraint cage and be delayed more?

Wowza!! I just got that email a few minutes ago. I'm sure glad that I found and purchased an XL hybrid on 27 Jan, then got even luckier to find a hybrid XLT with the lux package on 30 Mar! I traded in the XL and am a happy camper with the XLT Lux in VB, the same color I had ordered. I did cancel my original order when I purchased the XLT, but I guess the dealer kept the order to sell it. I''d be pretty livid if I had to continue waiting into the 2023 model year!

The notice does not say what the price increase will be between my22 and my23, among other missing information as mentioned above. It's a crap shoot. IF I remove the co-pilot 360 it does not guarantee that I will get a my22. Not sure what to do. I really wanted the co-pilot, but it could cost alot more in my23.

Got my email, but doesn't matter much. Got tired of waiting and decided to buy a Colorado instead. Already let the dealer know, but i guess they don't update the email address on the order when someone backs out.

Wow! I just got it too. Fortunately I was scheduled last week for 8/8/22 and given a VIN. Great communication Ford. It's a good thing I am a regular listener of the "Ford video Guy" and know I will get a MY22 this fall.

I ordered an XL November 1 and the onlu option was the $100 tow package and here is what the notification said:
Strong demand and global supply chain constraints continue to delay the scheduled production date and delivery of your Maverick®. We have now reached a point where there is a strong likelihood we will be unable to produce your Maverick order within these constraints.

That’s why we’d like to offer you some options to keep you moving forward with a new vehicle. Have a look below to see which path seems best for you, and then contact your Ford dealer to set up a plan.

If you want to keep your 2022 Maverick order
Contact your Ford dealer to review your order specifications and discuss the removal of certain features or packages that are preventing it from being scheduled for production. While there are no guarantees that these changes will result in your order scheduling, your Ford dealer will need to remove those constraining features or packages by July 8th for your 2022 order to potentially still be scheduled for production.

If we cannot build your current order and you’d like to convert it to a 2023 Maverick
Understanding you may not be able to take delivery of your 2022 Maverick order, we will be making a special private offer discount available beginning in August to those customers whose orders go unscheduled. None of these constrained items will be any easier to source in 23' is my guess. If you take the offer to rollover it's my guess you have to submit an all new build. That would be the only time i'd reconsider my build unless I just had to have one now. If like you are guessing at that point the early 23' orders drop items off their build, it probably makes the rollover early orders at least closer to the front of the line if they do retain constraint items in their respective builds.

My guess is the 23' will break some of these items up rather than having so many individually constrained items in one group, like the Lux package.

I ordered an XL without 360, my only options are the spare, inverter and hitch. Are any of those constraints? I don't really have much I can remove. They should just build orders like mine that don't have any constraints in them...

Interestingly, I got the email for my order with a local dealer (XLT ordered 1/18) but have not received it for my Granger order (1/25) or my Long McArthur order (1/27). I used different email addresses but I know Ford has them because I got order confirmations on all three. I have no illusions that lack of emails about the last two orders means they are scheduled, I know they are not.

Anyway, I'm going to cancel my order with my local dealer when the 2023 roll over comes, keep my Granger order as is (perhaps change to an XL if that doesn't effect anything and definitely if the XL gets factory cruise for 2023), and change my Long McArthur order to a Hybrid XLT with the luxury package and 360. I know that probably means a change in order date and might well effect the private offer. It is still likely to be cheaper than an AWD EB I have on order now. Then I will (hopefully) get to drive my Granger EB while I wait for the LM hybrid to be built sometime next year as a 2023.
