😄 a truck this short doesn’t need steps.

Just scrolled and realized everyone else already said the same.

One reason some folks like them is for easy access to wash/wax the roof.

as long as it doesn't sacrifice ground clearance. it's not like the step in height for the maverick is that high.
True. A running board might make sense with an FX4 package depending how high you lift it. That, and if you installed a roof rack it would give you an additional outside step to tie stuff off etc.

That said, probably 80-90% of Maverick owners would have no real practical reason for a running board, but if FMC wants to make it an option then fine by me.

Ok ,good reason for the running boards.my wife has bad knees and can’t lift her feet like she used to.in her case and anybody else with this problem a inch or two can make alot of difference 😁otherwise ,I wouldn’t think there would be a lot of demand for them other than looks.

All they would be good for is getting your pant's leg dirty. I'm been on this forum a long while and haven't noticed the "clamoring".

My wife is 5'2". And a little older than most people here. That being said it's harder for her to get in and out of the truck. So yes I would like a set of running boards. And I think that they look petty good. Sort of completes the look

I'm sure there are a few folks here and there with lifts, or maybe as a couple mentioned, there may be folks with mobility issues who might be clamoring for running boards.

Maybe a couple just need to spend some money and like the look.

However, I doubt they'll be high up on most Maverick owners' lists.

First, I'm going to put running boards on my skateboard.

If that works out, then I'll try it on the Maverick.

Mark this in the category of mud tires (excluding FX4), hood scope, cab spoiler, dual exhaust. All for looks, but if someone wants it for looks I am all for it.
