New running boards. Thoughts? Should i add Mabett fender flares?

Running boards I dont understand....these trucks are so low.....my wife's Explorer sits higher

Do not add mabett fender flares. I installed them a couple years ago and the tape fails on the ends and the flares faded and stain. Cheap plastic will not hold up. Mabett will not respond or do any thing.

sticking stuff on any vehicle (in this case a Ford Maverick) with basically double stick tape..... hard pass

I thought the same, but gave the window visors a shot. holding up very decently after 3 years. Well enough that I now have several variations of 3M's VHB tape.

Maybe that's why Air Design includes a tube of 3M adhesive/sealant to use along with the tape on their flares? I know the tape supplied with my Mabett tailgate spoiler barely held on, so I removed it and added a bead of adhesive.
