Does anyone know, pre 2 years ago, what the average time for a Ford dealer stock order was ?

In the 1980's I learned that the interest rate did not matter nearly as much as the term of the loan. I was building houses and was paying 18-22% and the $$$ paid in interest was bearable if the house was closed and paid for within 20-30 days of completion. I started marketing the home the very day I started construction and took in trades etc. Generally if a house did not close in about 100 days the interest would eat up the profit. If your situation requires a replacement car interest rates becomes secondary even if you have to get a second job.I've resigned myself to the fact it will prolly be a year for me from the August 15 ordering date regardless of what the dealer may or may not be saying about it. I can live with it. The way I see it I am not bound to take it and if a great deal on something pops up in the meantime, oh happy day. I only drive 2500 miles a year so it is not asking much for the old Ranger to keep chooglin' on.
The bigger issue for me is what will interest rates be like a year from now. If they start climbing up to 1980's style rates, the old Ranger may be looking better and better. I'm old enough to remember people back then paying up to 15%. Hopefully it won't come to that.
I am at 10 months and have a vin # and a build date TBD (To Be Determined) which I take to mean "AA" (Awaiting Allocation)I’m at 7 months and mine is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer on July 03. I could have gotten it soon but I didn’t want to remove the spray in bed liner.
And made all of us slaves to Jeff Bezos. I feel bad for the factory workers and the drivers who work for Amazon.Amazon delivery model has truly ruined the world!
Truer words have never been spoken
Well, that's not going to happen. In the 1980's I learned that the interest rate did not matter nearly as much as the term of the loan. I was building houses and was paying 18-22% and the $$$ paid in interest was bearable if the house was closed and paid for within 20-30 days of completion. What was the pre-Amazon lead time to order vehicle? +9 month waits for non-hybrid vehicles seem a tad long. But I want it NOWWWWWWAmazon delivery model has truly ruined the world!
There you GO = "BOB THE FISHING GUIDE" = 2-3 time a month = mave payment PLUS.Well, that's not going to happen. My hunting and fishing trips cannot deal with any such distraction.
Order a Cybertruck.7 months without a truck and 7 months without knowing when you will get your truck are two totally different things.
Not to mention this is a vehicle that people need to get to work, not a Crackerjack toy
Same here but 6/10 order, rescheduled 5 times. Still not produced yet.Ordered 7/26/21, Lariat Hybrid, First Edition, Lux Pkg, CoPilot 360 after about five push backs, finally scheduled last week. It will probably be a year before I actually receive. Hoping sooner!!!
