I tried cleaning the windshield and wipers, no change, looks like a trip to the dealer is in order.

I have a dealer appt at end of the month.curious what you found out. knowing where my smooth wipers operate and park, it seems the wipers were trying to 'park' at every rotation
I'm having a similar problem to you, and I've never had any other car do this. Might as well schedule a dealer checkup as well. I also recorded a video.I have a dealer appt at end of the month.
It looks to me to be the same or very similar to what mine is doing. I took mine to dealer on Tuesday 5/31. Diagnosis was bad wiper motor, which they ordered and said it should take about a week to get the part. I'll report back once the new motor is installed.I'm having a similar problem to you, and I've never had any other car do this. Might as well schedule a dealer checkup as well. Thank you, I will. I forgot to reply earlier, sorry. By the way, what do you mean record full cycles? When you take yours in show them your video on your phone, it was VERY helpful in my case to show the service advisor the exact issue. Without it, I was afraid I might get a "this is normal" diagnosis. Also, I would re-shoot your video to show full cycles.
Why wouldn't it be?I went to dealer today for first oil change, complained about the wipers not “parking” all the way down, they said this is normal

I drive 2 Mavericks, neither one of their wipers work like the video.this is normal.
When close to the wiper park position the gear mechanism ratio changes quick for it to get more movement. Nothing to worry about
Looks like they are parked where they are supposed to be, about 1/8"-1/4" from the small piece of trim.I went to dealer today for first oil change, complained about the wipers not “parking” all the way down, they said this is normal

Well I will be damned….mine is right on the mark…..I would have thought they would nest lower than that so that the heating element in Lux package would be more effective…..as the late great Rita Radnor used to say “Never Mind”. Thanks for your helpThat's normal.
If you want to know if your wipers are truly parking correctly look closely at the windshield near the tip of the blade. There will be a clear circle with a black dot in the center. That is the alignment mark your wipers should be resting at.

(From this thread, This wiper is parked too low, for instance)
Mine did the same thing on my new Lariat hybrid. I washed and rinsed the windshield twice. I then wiped the blades With a damp cloth. It’s worked perfectly since then.My wipers, when they are just a couple inches away from the full down position in the cycle, make a jerking motion and thumping sound. See video and watch the left wiper just before it finishes its down cycle.
In a light rain the cycle is very smooth (normal). But with heavier rain I get the hesitation and sound. Not seen in the video, but there is a similar action when the left wiper reaches the far left of the cycle.
Note - this is happening with the wipers in the normal standard speed. If I switch to the max (high) speed the issue is not apparent.
Anyone else with this or similar issue? Or is your entire cycle smooth, as it should be?
