Nice truck! Can I ask where you bought the yakima bed racks (is the medium or regular height ones)? Do you know if those racks can work with a tonneau cover on the bed?
I ordered the Yakima racks from Amazon as it was the same price as Rack Attack and they were in stock especially with Prime. I had researched these racks when I ordered the car, so in other words a long long time ago. I waited for the cross bars to go on sale, and again, I ordered from Amazon. These are the 60" Overhaul Crossbars. The height of the overhaul system is adjustable, and I opted for the overhaul (as opposed to the outpost) because there would be times I would need to increase the height (as in the picture example with the dog cage). With the outpost system, you cannot adjust the height, only the Overhaul. Make sure you know that, because the outpost will not clear your cab height.
As for the Tonneau, the reason why I opted for the Yakima Overhaul is because in the future if I decide to go with a tonneau, there is an attachment that you can buy that will allow Retrax, and another brand to be installed under the mount of the actual rack or at the very least allows the rack to be used in conjunction with their track system.
BE AWARE: The Yakima racks are NOT CHEAP. When you add it all up, the system, the crossbars, and if adapter for tonneau, it gets expensive fast.

I would really like to know how the ordering procedure works. I ordered basically the same truck minus the 360. In June ....
So frustrated and jealous
Everyone likes to say it's a dart board but it really isn't. If your dealer has low allotment (allocation) and high orders, your order will be put in the queue just like everyone else. Your wait is compounded by the supply chain, and so, unfortunately, longer wait period because you were probably already behind from the ordering stage. I was lucky to have been one of the first orders with a high allocation dealership, and ordering early.

What's kinda silly is that all the available adjustible rack systems assume a much higher bed rail to roof height, like 18+ inches for the midsize and larger trucks.

But the Mav height is more like 15" from bed rail to roof (hence our tiny rear window), so there doesn't seem to be an adjustible product that sits below 15" that can adjust higher.

That said, how would you describe the air noise from the bars above the roof?

To tell you the truth, I don't hear or feel anything as a result of having the rack above the cab. I just recently attached two pelican cases to it, and the resistance is negligible. No noise that I can distinguish. I went with Yakima because I wan't impressed with those static squatted racks, and for the money, it seemed Yakima was the way to go. I originally was looking at some Leitner Forged Racks, but it was too expensive to get them in Canada.

Thats great to (not) hear! Those cross bars do look fairly aerodynamic.

Congratulations and what a nice truck!

I would like to get a AWD as it needs to tow a boat. I'm not sure if the hybrid works or not.

You can't get a Hybrid in AWD. No such thing in Canada

hey @Yellow Rhino ! Wanted to know how much play there is in the TGL hitch step? If so, did you find a solution to tighten it up?

There is play, but not so much that it rattles when you drive. When you step on it it maybe moves a couple of millimeters, but enough to know it ain’t snug. I left it as is because I don’t hear anything when driving and can live with the movement when I step. I suppose you could put a thin piece of rubber in between. I do know that the hitch tighteners do not fit because the step has a weird angle, so don’t bother trying to buy one. Aside from that, I like the look of it.

Just put a wrap of gorilla or even hockey tape around the hitch step til it's a tight fit. You can do the hitch pin as well. Again, still jiggles when you step on it or try to shake it but it's tight while driving.
