My wife is from Edmonton, and having spent a few Christmases there, I would not buy a Hybrid. I live in Toronto and complain about the Hybrid's diminishing performance during -15-20, but in Edmonton where it's -35, you'll notice the battery problems in the winter. Currently, I will get a Deep...
I hide mine in the hitch mount with a hitch installed so that it doesn't fall out and nobody can take it. Also, I keep it outside for two reasons:
1) It will chirp if someone else is close to it revealing itself to the occupier (hence I put it outside so no one can hear it)
2) It relies on...
Mine kicked in at 1 year. Considering I drive approximately 5,000 km/year I wondered why it said I needed to change oil. I later looked in the manual and it recommends a bare minimum of 1 Year regardless of minimal distance. After my oil change, it recalculated based on how much I drove in...
A few questions:
Did they colour match the topper for your Maverick?
How much did it cost?
Is this their E-Vision topper?
How long did it take for you to order and receive?
I was the Toronto test car that got scanned for measurements. Unfortunately it was after I bought my Weathertechs, so I have a pair of FRONT only mats. The Tuxmats are really nice...I don't know if I would have bought them at retail, but they gave me a set of front and backs as a thank you for...
I've been itching for one ever since I ordered my Maverick. I even considered cutting up a Ranger Decked platform to fit, but it would be a very costly experiment. If they came out with a Maverick one I would be the first to purchase.
I loved the ACS from Leitner (it's actually been out since January), but there are a few things that have prevented me from buying it.
1) Expensive because I needed it in Canada
2) Doesn't go vertical. I use a Yakima Overhaul now, and I can raise the height of it
3) There is NO Decked system...
I agree with Ranchero. The initial draw is what kills you. I've tried with a small 1 gal Dewalt compressor and it wouldn't even kick on. I ultimately went with just a small inflatable battery powered one. I did the research and there are almost no tank compressors that will draw so little...
Tuxmat scanned my Hybrid about a month ago and said they were good to go into production. Another forum member checked in with them and they said late August/September will be up for sale. Search the original post under 'Tuxmat' for pics.
Mine does the same in the exact same spot. Driver's side. I have a Yakima rack on it, and I noticed it immediately after I put it on, so I assume it was the clamping of the rack that caused it. Regardless, it's not that noticeable to me, so I just let it be. If it starts buckling in any...
Well, the mats have been fitted and now it's up to them to complete production. I asked how long it usually takes to bring them to market after final fitting and the said 6-8 weeks. So I am assuming since I saw them last week...you can probably expect them to be available in the next month and...
I just went in for the final fitting of the Tux Mats. They said 6-8 weeks before they start shipping out because of supply chain and manufacturing, but they WILL be coming. Trust me, they are worth the wait.
Just got an email saying the last prototype is ready for test fitting. I'm assuming once that is done, they should go into production soon, but I'm not an expert on retail inventory.
I've had my Mav Hybrid since January, and I have only seen two others, and they were EB. Trust me, there aren't THAT many around, but they are trickling in. It's the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon...you're just starting to notice them around.
There is play, but not so much that it rattles when you drive. When you step on it it maybe moves a couple of millimeters, but enough to know it aināt snug. I left it as is because I donāt hear anything when driving and can live with the movement when I step. I suppose you could put a thin...
I wanted to put in two large gunner kennels, however they were too large for the Maverick. The medium size kennels are too small for my two dogs so instead I bought this crate and strapped it in and itās pretty secure. I like this method just as much as the two gunner kennels and waaaay...
