I feel like I just saw a small Escape hybrid recall recently for this same thing. They called it something like insufficient weld pentetration on the Solder joint. I feel like it might be coming for the Mav.
Day 8 - Dealer Diagnosis Today (5/30/2022): Faulty Electrical Harness. The cable between the 12V battery and relay was defective, (as suggested by DiveBombDom). The replacement harness is on backorder, possibly 3-4 weeks. Thank goodness that they found the short and I do not have to live with chargers, jumpers, and uncertainty. I hope that this helps others who have, or may, experienced the problem. I had no warning signs, deep sleep messages, etc. (see below). Hybrid, built 12/22/2021.

Day 4 - Ford Service Update, Gullo Ford, Conroe, TX. Service Advisor, Dean Wachner, called today to let me know that they are perplexed and continuing to research the problem, They have opened a ticket with Ford for assistance. Battery, Alternator, and everything checks ok, but 12V battery is immediately drained when car is turned off. They are also still "working" on a loaner car.

History: Hybrid Lariat - 5 months and 4500 miles of flawless performance. No "Deep Sleep" messages or any type of warnings. May 22, I drove 10 miles, parked for 15 minutes, got back in it and it was as dead as a door nail. Never a problem of any kind before. From reading this Forum, I told myself, "Aw s!*t, Dead Maverick!". Knowing what lay ahead, and being totally pissed and extremely disappointed, I called Ford Roadside Assistance to begin the process. He jump started it with a booster, but after I turned it off, it was again completely dead. He jumped it again, and I headed straight to the Ford Dealer and parked it in the Service Lane. After driving 20 miles, it was completely dead again. May 23, I called the Ford Service Advisor, who said that the battery looked ok, and they were checking everything else for Hybrid problem possibilities.

I'm also a member of the dead maverick club. When turning off the truck, everything dies immediately, no maverick animation or anything. Truck will start back up with a booster and work until you power down again.

I am getting 12.7V at the battery under the seat. I'm getting 3-3.8v at the jump location under the hood as well as on all the contacts under the fuse box behind the jump location. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

Any idea how to get in contact with corporate for scheduling/helping root cause the issue? My dealerships in the area are booked for months...

I'm currently waiting at a dealership to test the battery. I've been here for 3 hours, so maybe they are actually doing a deeper diagnostic, who knows...

That's not good. It sounds like you have a bad solder connection if your jump post terminal reading is different than your battery reading. Have you tried just popping into your local dealer's service department without calling or scheduling an appointment and explaining it's a critical issue preventing your car from being driven and you need a loaner car? They should be able to prioritize you. I live in Los Angeles and my local dealer has a 3 week wait but when I did that, the service advisor took the car in immediately and gave me a loaner without an appointment.

The only "corporate" department that you can talk to is Ford Customer Relations which doesn't do much, they create a "ticket" and follow up with you to see if it has been resolved but I don't think they have the power to expedite you or anything. It can't hurt to reach out to them though.

Show your service advisor some of the posts on this thread from other people and explain that you think your car might have the same issue and there should be a "TSB" (Technical Service Bulletein) in the technician's computer about it. If they don't want to help you, go to another dealer.

Thank you for the info!

I've been to every dealership in town starting with one with an unbelievably snarky response when I asked him what would he do if this was his truck - "well I wouldn't have bought it".

I've explained that this thing dies and it's my only vehicle. I just want to get the diagnostic visit done to start the process. I can't get a rental until they determine it's a warranty issue, and they can't determine it's a warranty issue until they get it in for diagnosis.

I've been at this final dealership for 3 hours. They said they'd do an inspection on the battery, but if it requires further diagnostics I would have to schedule an appointment. Hopefully they decided to dig into it.

I think the loose wire is near the fuse box. This happened last week and it went away immediately after I reseated the fuse box. Didn't have an issue for a week until last night. Happened again and I did the same fix and it worked. Got home, died again and reseating the fuse box is no longer working.

Edit: I realized I repeated myself a bit. Dealer says it's not the battery, alternator working fine. He's having a second tech look at it. Here's hoping. I told him to look for the things I've seen in other posts here.

That sucks, of course it's a damn warranty issue if your battery is reading 12.7 volts and your jumper posts are reading otherwise.

@Ford Motor Company can you help him out with this?

The snarky dealer also said that warranty work doesn't pay as well and if a tech did only warranty work they would bill 20hrs for 40-50 hours of work, so I'm assuming they prioritize out of warranty work? Doesn't really make sense to me.

I called the local Toyota dealership asking when their next appointment for diagnosing a major electrical issue and they had an appointment in 2 days. Makes you wonder if ford needs to make some major changes to how they handle warranty work...

Did the dealer affirm that the vehicle has an alternator? ... if so, time to get a different service advisor or go to a different dealer.

Yes. He just stopped in and gave me that info. I had no idea there wasn't an alternator, but that makes sense after reading up on how this thing actually works. The initial rep who took my info didn't know the battery was under the rear seat!

I don't think I would have handled that very well, nothing pisses me off more than rude and inconsiderate people.

I had to show my service advisor the location of the 12v battery and how to jump start the 12v battery ... FoMoCo needs to get a handle on this ... I've been present (2x) at Ford (private contractor) trainers led new (Maverick) vehicle training and the training sessions were a joke fest where the trainer couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as possible.

Is there an actual TSB for this? Also, all those having the problem could you please post your build date? Wondering if this is a correlation to the poorly soldered harness and build date.

That's a great idea to get build dates.

I got the "Your vehicle has been built" email on December 17th.
