Green plug engine bay near fuses

I was looking through my engine bay and noticed a little green plug that only had 2 wires going into it. It also says it's in the "on" position. Any ideas?

It really reads NO for "Not Used".

I really do not know and will not try to come up with any wise remarks. I will ask what in the world is the white goopy looking stuff in approximately six to eight piles that I see. These are not really welds that are painted over, are they??? If I had my Maverick, I would go look. Thanks.

It's a service disconnect that safely locks out the HV battery contactor for technicians to work on the high voltage related systems.

(Edit to the edit: Nope, I did have it right the first time. HV disconnect. Doubted myself when I went to double check and Kingranchero said Ford refers to it as the low voltage service disconnect. Also in regards to that video apparently Ford is pretty confident in their HV safety these days and doesn't issue the fiberglass pole anymore.)

Definitely looks like a place that would be welded.... Man if that's the case Hermosillo really needs to recalibrate their robots to weld better those look rough

It looks like the panel is designed to sheer off clean upon impact

Adhesive bonded. Faster and just as strong.

Service disconnect for the high voltage system. It's "opened" (which turns off the high voltage relay) when a service tech needs to work on the high voltage system (wiring, battery, etc.). It's supposed to be zip-tied in the "open" position with a "Do Not Reconnect" type tag attached, and only re-connected when the service is complete. Definitely NOT something you want to mess with!

Do not touch! Actual Achilles’
heel of the whole Hybrid truck. The pull pin of the HV hand grenade. it’s the safety disconnect for first responders, tow trucks etc. required by law like the tag on your mattress you are not allowed to remove.
