After ordering the mirror several times from different sources and getting cancellations, I finally received a shipment confirmation from www.kiapartsfast.com! The Part Number is as follows... Kia Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink & Compass - Kia (B2062-ADUP1). Can anyone verify this mirror will work on my Maverick? Thanks very much!

You need a GenTex 453 for mount to work.

Most of these mirrors have Homelink Version 3. Requires a Chamberlin Adapter in garage to convert to V4 in order to work with newer rolling code doors. Adapter cost $30 on Amazon. Back of mirror will have HL3 or HL4 code to indicate version. Want HL4 if you can get it. As far as I know there is not a firmware update to change mirrors software to V4. Would be nice if you could. I found a V4 Kia mirror for $65 on Ebay. Wired it to my sunroof switch. Works great.

When you say "mount", what are you referring to? Are you saying the mirror coming to me will not be able to be installed and work properly?

Ok, so can you post a photo? I have to wonder how you managed to tap into the cam wires cleanly. And, apologies if you've already posted said picture.
I get the mirror today, so give me a week or so

Oh! I was under the impression you already had it installed! No hurry, then, but do post pictures of your install. Thanks.

Just received my mirror. It is a Version HL4. I'm simply wondering if it will work in my Maverick. My garage door opener is around 16 years old and I'm not really concerned about using the mirror for that. I mainly wanted the dimming capability and the compass capability. The mirror looks identical to all Gentex 453's. Again, it is a Kia Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink & Compass - Kia (B2062-ADUP1). If anyone can tell me if this mirror will work I'd appreciate it.

It should work just fine, I installed a similar mirror today. Check for fitment (in that you can tilt the mirror enough for the view - mine fits up very close to the black box but I can still adjust it for best angle of view). Of course you will have to run the wiring.

Just finished installing my auto dim/Homelink mirror today. I got the Kia A7062-ADUP1 (not sure of the differences vs other model numbers as the mirrors look the same). Homelink version is "HL4".

I found a pre-made triple-wire harness on Amazon. A bit long (10') but it worked perfectly and I liked the idea of the wires already being jacketed, plus the wire colors were perfect for easy identification (Red: constant power, yellow: switched power, black: Ground).

I ran the wires behind the black box above the mirror, across the headliner to the right, down the A-pillar and into the fuse box in the passenger footwell. I used micro3 fuse 1/2 for the switched power, and fuse 18/19 for constant power.

The A-pillar trim I did not have to remove, I simply pulled it out at the top and was able to fish the wire behind it and downward. Same with the side panel piece - I also just popped it out at the top and fed wire behind it and behind glovebox and down to fusebox.

This is perfect! Appreciate the photos, the information, and how you installed it.

Can you give the Amazon link for the pre-made triple wire harness you bought? Tried to find it and no success. Thanks!

You have to buy 2 of them, $19.99. Hard to find triple harnesses, most are double. I figure I could use the second harness on a future project, or I might just sell it. Link is below.

One end of the harness has male ends, the other end female. You'll need end connectors to match - I made everything so it can be easily unplugged on both ends. I shortened the harness that comes with the mirror by quite a bit so it would all fit in the black box.

I started the wire run inside the black box, leaving just a few inches of the triple harness in the box area, and then fed it across the headliner.

Link:

If link doesn't work, type this in search box (without quotes): "Nilight 2PCS 16AWG 10Feet Wiring Harness Extension"

16 awg is massive overkill for this load methinks. But maybe it’s hard to find a smaller gauge with the same connector style? Certainly doesn’t hurt to be overkill I guess if the cable is as pliable and thin as you need to stash it where you need to.

I looked everywhere for a smaller gauge cable but no one seems to make one.

You do want to ensure the wire is not in front of the air bag.
