Anyone else think their center screen is too dim? It seems that under brightness settings, there is no brightness improvement after the 50% mark
Ford Maverick Screen Brightness Issue PXL_20220330_221606402
. I can move the slider all the way to 100% and I notice nothing different from 50%.
On the other hand the brightness increase is obvious from the 0 to 50% mark.

Just tested. Mine works, I actually set it to 3/4 when I was playing with all the settings a few weeks ago, as 100% was too bright for me.

Lariat (and by extension FEs) don't seem to have as much of an issue when it has come up before so likely constrained to the lower-tier infotainment in the non-Sync 3 trims.

Thanks for the replies. Sucks mine will have to be dim for now, but it sounds like a software bug so hopefully an update sorts it out

Others have mentioned the same quibble. Have you tried choosing a different background for the screen via the settings menu?

This being the very first vehicle I've owned (or ever sat in, for that matter) with a screen of any type, if anything I find it too bright and distracting out of my peripheral vision and have chosen to step it down. May well end up keeping the screen in calm or off mode most of the time. Diff'rent strokes and all that.

Yes it has been maxed out in every setting, dashboard or display settings. There's clearly no difference in brightness everytime I press the increase button last the 50% mark so something is up with the software.

The screen in the Maverick is dimmer than other cars. I rented a Nissan Altima this weekend and the screen in the car was so much clearer than the Ford screen.

I was referring to the option to change the background (Settings -- Display -- Background). One of those choices might offer a level of contrast you find more amenable.

This is the only thing I don't like about my XLT. This is the worst screen I have ever seen. It is very dim and dingy looking in daylight. Even with brightness all the way up. Ford must do better and offer upgrades in the future.

What are you making this comparison to? Your Jeep Gladiator?

On my Lariat, the screen also doesn't seem to actually get much (if at all) brighter after the 50% mark. However, it's still plenty bright and sharp. I've had no issues even on sunny days

My Gladiators screen blew the Mavericks out of the water. I'm saying for a vehicle over $30 grand it should have a better screen. At least one that is bright and clear enough to see during the day. It's fine at night.

That's because you have the Sync 3 system. That display is much better than the non Sync 3 systems. Hopefully a software update will take care of the issue.
