if you order the wheel locks with your truck, will they come the same color as the wheels? the ones pictured on the build site appear to be stainless or chrome colored.
Are chrome, but so are all the other ones.

Today I found out that the wheels of a camry, which parks in the parking lot at my workplace, were stolen. People are saying nobody cares about the Maverick wheels. I mean if they go for camry wheels, than they will come for our Maverick wheels too. People are also saying wheel locks don't protect from theft. I think thief go the path of least resistant and if you have wheel locks it is more likely that they just go for the next car. Initially I was regretting those wheel locks but now I think I will just leave them on -There are way too many bad people out there......
Honestly with the factory wheel locks, I can get them off faster than a regular lug nut. A couple of pops with the ballpin, it breaks the stud but if you're steeling the wheels 🤷‍♂️ I plan on replacing or taking mine off as soon as I can

Nice. I bought Gorilla locks. They are shorter than then the OEM locks. Damper. I removed the blue loctite. It made installation easier. I put new locktite on the threads and it made it easier to tighten.
Yep, did the same blue loctite removal after several frustrating minutes. Made the dampner install much easier.

If I recall correctly I used a small stiff wire brush. Should do the trick. Maybe spray a bit of WD-40 to help it along.

Man, people spout off all kinds of incorrect things as "facts" all of the time. You don't know how many times people will just casually say in a matter-of-fact manner "BMWs are the most stolen cars, you won't have to worry about your Maverick." Like, um, pretty sure BMWs have never been the most stolen vehicle, but I hear people make these comments (replace BMW with Mercedes, Lexus, or whatever luxury brand) all of the time without blinking an eye. The most popular cars for car thieves are almost always the really common ones that are easy to flip. Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Ford F150, Chevy Silverado, etc... But hey, everyone's a expert online you know...
