Not sure about the supporting hardware but I hope the best for your project!!

Should be doable with the front radar unit and wiring harness as long as you have a hybrid with the electric assisted brake booster. People have been doing it on the F150. If you have an ecoboost without the electric assisted brake booster you're out of luck, that's a $1300 part and probably not a simple retrofitRight, which is why I specified buying the hardware AND enabling. Calibrating and such I'm sure adds some hurdles but it seems theoretically possible at least with some effort...
I've got the Hybrid so I'm off to a good start. Still looking for an example on a comparable model to see what other hurdles I'm not accounting for.Should be doable with the front radar unit and wiring harness as long as you have a hybrid with the electric assisted brake booster. I remember seeing the ACC option in the Co-Pilot360 package as well. My order confirmation is dated 7/13 but I'd already decided on what I was going to get a week or two before that. It may have been a mistake and quickly removed but at one point it was showing as an option on the XLT because it was one of reasons I ordered the package. So, I'm pretty sure (say 80%) that when I placed my order in Oct, 2021, it listed Adaptive Cruise Control in the list of Co-Pilot 360 features for the XLT Hybrid. I've been looking forward to using it! Unfortunately, I didn't actually save screenshots during my online ordering process, so can't be sure. Maybe I just assumed.
You're first! Go team!Hi gang. I should have all the parts tomorrow to install ACC on my XLT Lux Hybrid. Has anyone made it any further with this? I'm happy to be a guinea pig.
How much has it cost you?Hi gang. I should have all the parts tomorrow to install ACC on my XLT Lux Hybrid. Has anyone made it any further with this? I'm happy to be a guinea pig.
I'll come up with a firm total when I'm next at my pc, but off hand I'd guess around $500-600. The radar module was the most expensive at $377ish.How much has it cost you?
Did you delete your vehicle profile in FORScan before looking for the new CCM module? If you don't, FORScan does not search for new modules and assumes you have the same modules as the last time you ran it.Ok-- I'm fresh off an 8 hour day of trying to get this thing installed. I'll post a full write up later on, but I wanted to give a summary of what went right and wrong in the hopes that somebody has some tips.
I purchased a 72 hour Motorcraft service manual subscription, which is where I obtained most of the direction I used. I had to freelance a bit at the end, which I'll explain.
I ordered the wrong pigtail for the CCM so I was using jumper wires just to try to see if the splices were OK, so it may be that my jumpers were bad or had poor contact. I'm going to try again when the proper pigtail arrives.
- Removing the bumper was almost exactly as it was written in the Ford manual. The manual recommends having a second technician available for the final step of removing the bumper, but I put a moving blanket on the driveway and had no trouble easing it down myself.
- I did not realize the air deflector was different between the XLT and the Lariat. I modified the air deflector, but I may purchase a Lariat air deflector for completeness.
- The cowling around the upper radiator grates already has the holes which are needed to mount the CCM bracket. Very pleased to discover that.
- For wiring... It was a pain. I found the connector which the Lariat uses for wiring the CCM, it's just in front of the front passenger wheel. Neither the harness nor the bundle coming from the firewall had the pins or wires necessary for installing the CCM. The CCM requires power, ground, CAN+, and CAN-. I was able to pull power and ground from a wiring harness just in front of the driver side wheel. I thought I found a CAN bus tap in that harness as well, but I struck out. When I hooked it up and connected Forscan, I had a load of DTCs.
- I ended up pulling a pair of wires from the passenger A pillar and tapped the CAN wires leading to the IPMA (image module, behind the rearview mirror). In the wiring diagram, these are the same circuit as the CCM in the stock Lariat Lux configuration. When I had it all hooked up, Forscan would not find the CCM. I also picked up a weird error "Pedestrian Warning Malfunction". The error ceased when I disconnected the CCM.
Happy to hear everyone's thoughts.
Best,
Baaron
F me sideways... I did not. I should have the correct CCM pigtail by Friday. I'll try this once it's wired up.Did you delete your vehicle profile in FORScan before looking for the new CCM module?
