How far do they poke? 4-5 inches? Lol I had 1" spacers on the back of mine and didn't like the look.

I’m thinking about these, on Area 51. With matching tailgate letters and a red stripe in the “dogbone” on the grill. Just some splashes of color to offset the vast expanse of Atea 51. Motegi MR116

I too love these wheels and they provide a modernized yet retro look. Like you, on my VB XL, I was thinking of a thin red line on the wheel, either painted or add on rim protectors, Red Maverick tailgate letters or black with red outline (if I could find them), and some red trim on the grill just to break up the black.

I love Bullitt/Torque Thrust style wheels, had them on my Ranger a few years back. But, the offset of them on the Maverick is killing it for me.

Nice looking truck.

I’m a Mustang guy but the bullets stick out too far for my liking. Tucked in and lowered, it would be sick though.

I’d be a bit worried about road grime/gravel sandblasting the paint, plus I found it annoying on my Jeeps with the constant road spray caking windows in the rain. May have to consider some good mudflaps like rock blokz (love mine) to help combat that with the tires sticking past the fenders.

Not even close to 4-5 inches. The stock mustang wheels have a higher offset than stock Maverick wheels, +45 vs +38. So 7mm more inward pre-adapter, add 32mm (1-1/4") for adapter. Simple math reveals 32mm - 7mm = 25mm ( ~1") less backspacing.

Now considering the Mustang wheels are 8" wide vs 7" Maverick, that brings the face of the Mustang wheel out an additional 1/2". So face of wheel is now out 1-1/2" compared to stock, but centerline of tire is still only out 1" farther than stock. Those tires look like stock Pirellis so only 225 width, I bet sidewall is only out about 1-1/2" vs. stock, so nowhere close to 4-5 inches.

Wheels/offsets/backspacing really isn't all that hard.. probably all of the wheel gap making it look like much more "poke."

I’m surprised the offset is correct for a front wheel bias.
Me too. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/ (scroll down on the page) is a tool I've used in the past to get a good fit. It's a way to see how changing tire size, offset, width, height, etc. alters the Scrub Radius & other handling stability parameters.

Now im thinking i may have to try my drag pack on my Mav. lol
Yeah we need a Ford Racing pack for the Maverick. Maybe even a whole racing series based on it, eventually we can let other mini trucks in. Im thinking a "cobrajet" "sealed" 350hp 2.3 with a manual and advanced diffs.

Id stick with the 2.0 over the blow apart 2.3 block.

Shoot us a pic when you get it done.
