I complained because they kept changing my build date. I’d rather not get emails with dates that aren’t real.
So mark them as spam and you'll never see them. I'd rather know whats going on with my build.

Hello All Current and Future Maverick Customers
We fully recognize there is a lot of interest and excitement about the Maverick. We are here to answer your questions and be as transparent with you as possible about any confusion in the ordering, scheduling, and production process. Rest-assured, our goal is to build as many Mavericks as we can and satisfy as many new Maverick customers as possible given global supply chain challenges. Thank you for your interest in Maverick and your patience during this process. Our goal is to build as many Mavericks as we can so you can get out there and enjoy the 2022 North American Truck of the Year!
@FordMotorCompany Please build my Lariat Lux without some chips. The stop and go is not necessary, nor are the heated seats, mirrors and steering till next winter. More chips to go around and more Maverick built!

The three plus month window is good so we can order accessories and receive them in time. More importantly it gives us a central once a week thread that we can gauge the process via order dates and builds and to gauge our estimate progress of being built and if it will be this model year.

We are not trying to shoot the messenger, but give you feedback that we would hope that you'd organize concisely and report up to upper management.

Ford has been too quiet to customers about their orders as it is. I ordered back in July of 2021, and have received two emails; one was the confirmation and one was you guys just checking in a few weeks ago. I have had to call Ford motor twice just to get some idea of what’s been going on. Now you want to limit the emails even more? I’m sorry, but that has got to be the worst idea ever for buyer confidence. You’ve got people refreshing their email every Thursday just hoping to hear something. I hope you reconsider your stance.

Im gonna be the odd guy out here. I dont mind not knowing until it is actually scheduled to be built. I have to organize a whole vacation multiple flights and a visit to my dads place in south texas, aswell as coordinate time off from work which falls apart without me. If I dont have a specific deliver to Granger date I will just end up fretting and worrying about which flight to get and all that. I know its going to take forever to get my Maverick. As long as I can keep my old jeeps alive and right side up, I can wait.
Interesting message, coming from someone so patience, yet has posted almost 700 messages, and joined in Dec.-- 7 months after others who still have heard nothing definitive. Wish we all were able to be so magnanimous to Ford on this message blackout decision! Perhaps you just ignore anything from FMC and wait until your dealer calls and let the rest of us at least get some "false hope" messages occasionally!

I know this goes against a lot of classic Corporate Comms and PR principals, but I'm sure everybody here would be much happier getting emails like this.

Ditto -Put the emails back the way they were, give us access to track our orders on the web, and provide more information not less. Some of us need to make plans to get rid of an older vehicle or find ways to make it limp along until we get our new Maverick; having some visibility helps us make decisions.

Oh look it's Thursday.. Just another day of the week now, nothing special about today. :cautious:
I was pretty much set on the fact I will be pushed to 23 since I ordered way late and refuse to get rid of the Lux package.
While that fact kind of sucked I was ok, but now to not see a weekly thread of people getting scheduled just really bums me out. I enjoyed seeing people get their emails and knowing that there was progress.

I already have the customer service number. Anyone have a link to the chat? I'd rather use that than call, but either way I'll be checking weekly just like I have been.

The only difference being that now I'll interact with a person instead of just checking my email.

With this change we may even want to have that info in a pinned post somewhere. I'm sure I won't be the only one contacting @Ford Motor Company on a weekly basis.

I prefer to get more emails as well!
Texted my salesman today asking for some info, since the dealers as supposedly getting status updates that we are no longer getting?

@Ford Motor Company Please go back to sending more email updates. I believe more frequent updates when the order changes even if to advise of a delY is better than less emails.

Relying on Ford to send an email is like depending on the Vikings to win a Super Bowl. I still have yet to see one message from Ford about my order, whether it be a confirmation, FITS crap or blanket garbage email. The only thing I ever receive from them is a reminder that my FordPass balance is zero. No, they are not blocked and nothing shows in spam so it's obvious they never send them. The only way to get any solid info is to get in touch with Ford Marketing and talk to a real person. This will be my 10th and final new Ford I purchase.

We'll I've been calling every week to get a VIN and build date for my August Lariat RR FE Hybrid and so far and very disappointed. If I knew I would still be without a truck over 7 months I would not have pre traded my 2014 Lariat F150 with on a promise from a salesman that I would have it by the end of 2021. This stinks, but I believe that Ford really dropped the ball on this whole Maverick truck. I am pretty sure I will not buy another Ford.

Maybe being almost 70, I may never need another one anyway. Sorry for being so mad, or is it sad?

Hey @Ford Motor Company why not just un-bundle the Lux package and let people pick the options that are truly important to them? Some people may want the heated seats, but could care less about the SIBL and vice versa. Seems like a smart thing to do if the supply chain issues are truly a problem.

I ordered lux because of the heated stuff. A cold weather package would be perfect, almost everything else is stand alone.
