With only this budget, what is your PURCHASE? You will drive this vehicle about 85 miles per day with 60high/40 city. 20mpg is the only requirement.

I have also seen 02-05 V6 Camry and Avalons in this price range with 130k miles.02 through 06 Toyota Camry 4 cyl auto with less than 200k. Way less than 6k, 30 mpg, and reliable as a rock.
I did a quick search on autotrader with your criteria and found a clean (as far as I can see) 2011 Camry with just under 140,000 miles for $7700. Have you tried doing that or just getting advice? Either way I hope you find something reliable.
This is will be my 2nd Maverick. My currently daily driver is a Maverick and I have 8k miles since Nov 1.You bought a Maverick and are now buying a car to not drive the Maverick? Just enjoy your Maverick. Cars are meant to be driven and sitting does them no good.
Would you buy a huge TV and then buy a small one to watch to not wear it out? Would you buy a nice couch and then an uncomfortable one to sit on to avoid wear?
It's a depreciating asset. Don't bubble wrap it, drive it.
I'll sell you my focus for that! With only this budget, what your PURCHASE? You will drive this vehicle about 85 miles per day with 60high/40 city. 20mpg is the only requirement.
