But all those people making these claims, like myself, are NOT getting their hybrids scheduled.

This issue is dealer specific.

I've commented on everyone that's ever made this claim since I did nearly a month ago. None of us have since been scheduled, and we all ordered from small dealerships.

Yes, hybrids will still get scheduled in the coming weeks...but not everyone that ordered long ago. Just because others are lucky enough to get scheduled, others that ordered long ago are still getting fucked over and rolled over to 2023s
Ok sure but the claim in the original post was not accurate. The dealer did not correctly say "no more of our orders are being built"

I was hesitant to buy a Ford to begin with, so if it turns out Ford has indeed screwed us, I will never consider them again. What a cluster.
F*ck these bogus trending topics.

My priority number is now 10. Does that even make a difference? I ordered my Hybrid in July.
It does if your dealer have orders with a higher priority number.

My understanding is that some dealers have told customers that they didn't need to put down a deposit which may or may not be the case, however, if you put down a deposit, you have a better chance of Ford contacting you directly with information than if you need to rely on the dealership. Feds get a bit frisky when a FTC regulated company takes in money for a product and doesn't deliver.
I traded in our Golf in August resulting in something over $8k down payment. Not sure how Ford knows if I have a down payment on a vehicle, my dealer was asking for $500 down on any Man order.

The combination of incredibly strong retail order demand and unprecedented supply chain issues has created a number of capacity constraints that have disrupted our ability to schedule many customer’s retail orders for production. We recognize this has caused frustration for our customers and we are working very hard to find solutions to get their vehicles to them as quickly as possible. We will only build stock units in the event that orders are not able to be built due to constraints.

To those that knee-jerked and called my a liar, a troll and posted other disparaging comments...

See the following thread that confirms my story. Not everyone is getting their Mav. Ford says so:

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ng-customer-options-and-order-amendment.10891
They're off in other threads posing, hanging out with the other cool kids. A few may swing in to kinda-sorta apologize before blaming their behavior on you. The old "I only hit you because I love you" defense.

I think threads like these do a public service, many experienced members have gotten better acquainted and more comfortable with the block function while newer members can use this thread as a sort of guide to people that may be block worthy.

Ford's mistakes in my mind were maybe being a bit too confident in the supply chain's ability to recover. It is a tough position, they have a great chance here to really bust the small truck segment open and firmly establish themselves within it, which likely plays into their build goals for MY22, yet the economic situation continues to deteriorate.

Understand you are pissed OP, but Ford is not the one doing the screwing here.

Apologize for what? He said no more hybrids or XLTs were going to be built which wasn't even true.

No, what he posted was what his dealer told him - they told him no more hybrids or xlt's would be produced if they were not already scheduled. At the time of this posting none on here had seen the FOMOCO dealer memo, so who qualified to determine what was true or not? It seems clear his dealer had seen the memo and had not interpreted it well at all.

Instead of treating a new member with some respect, this was his post #1, he was repeatedly ridiculed.

I did not call out any members in my post at all, I believe people can either own their behaviors or not at their own discretion- as a general rule in forums, most will not.

I've lurked this forum for months to get some insight into when my truck might be built and delivered and found it comforting I'm not the only one that has wondered just wtf is going on at Ford. Anyway, I finally called Ford corporate today to see if they had any status on the Maverick XLT Hybrid I ordered last October from a local dealer and which Ford had long ago confirmed via email. The Ford rep told me that parts delays were a problem but are now mostly resolved and it's now transportation from rail yards to dealers that is the major bottleneck. The Ford rep assured me that the truck will be built and delivered within the next few months and they will fill all confirmed orders. They told me to contact my dealer and get a few pieces of info to better determine where I stand in their allocation.

So, I call my dealer and am informed that they just received notice from Ford this morning that no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production. WTF!! I told my sales rep what Ford had just told me this morning, which is 100% the opposite of what the dealer had just told me and they had no explanation. I plan to call Ford again tomorrow to see what they say in response to what my dealer told me.

My dealer has been keeping me posted on the status regularly and I have no reason to believe they are lying since my sales rep told me she had to make about 10 bad calls to other customers today.

I was hesitant to buy a Ford to begin with, so if it turns out Ford has indeed screwed us, I will never consider them again. What a cluster.
The dealer went too far talking. Ordering a Maverick this year is closed. But, There are still 3-4 months of production yet to be scheduled(April-July). So, there is time. I just got my production orders at the end of January for the Maverick hybrid I ordered July 10th, for production in Mid-March. So, 7 months of me waiting. Now I am awaiting a window sticker. When it arrives I know it will be on the line shortly. 7 months from October is March/April. Hey they are right on time if you go by my experience. The only comfort we can go with is "It will be worth the wait". Patience Truck-Hopper.

As part of the ordering process, dealers could send in either a signed DORA or a signed Buyer's Order (along with a copy of the buyer's driver license).

In my case, they sent the signed Buyer's Order, which listed my deposit as a "down payment." So Ford could have known about it. But maybe they just ignored it.

Which is still not true. Sorry but many of the more veteran members here are very well versed. The OP could have spent some time reading, maybe listening to Tim Bartz videos and would have been informed enough not to post his garbage hearsay as "fact" but instead they chose to perpetuate rumor and speculation.

I've since corrected myself many times, but regardless, the main point remains the same...lots of orders are getting rolled over to 2023s, I was just one of the first to bring it public. Just yesterday fordauthority.com posted an article about it too.

The only way to fix this fairly...Ford must communicate why exactly people haven't been scheduled yet. If you're told it is because of certain options on your truck, let them know that it will be built if you remove the options. If not, it's getting rolled over.

Also, if there isn't any communication, cancel or roll over people that ordered a Maverick LAST, not those that ordered first.

You are right about the OP's original post. He just reported what his dealer told him. Disparaging him because he failed to read the thousands of posts on this forum before reporting isn't fair or productive.

A couple of days later, though, he said that the Ford memo confirmed his original post. You agree in your post that that isn't correct, so I trust you don't see anything wrong with people pointing that out (as you did above and as I did here).

People should be respectful, but disagreement is a normal part of dialog.

And disregard their allocation system? It's how their business thrives.........I know it's a tough pill to swallow for some of you who ordered from small dealerships but your small dealer should have been the one to tell you that you're far out on their order list and they only expect to get X amount of Mavericks per month. Sorry but the system works for Ford, their customer is the dealer, not you. They're going to continue to do what's best for the company even if it hurts the feelings of a few.

How many is "lots of orders"? Are we talking 100? 1,000? 10,000?

I ask because 100 orders (out of 80k-100k) would seem a pretty normal course of business event -- something that often happens in the balancing out of a model year -- while 10,000 would seem a catastrophe.

So I'm wondering if you are predicting that things will happen pretty much as they usually do, or that something really unusual will happen this time around.
