As someone that ordered in July I really have no sympathy for you. There's a ton of people that ordered in the summer that haven't got their trucks yet. Maybe you should just buy another Toyota and move on.
Agreed ^
Ordered Lariat FE Hybrid on July 7th, Ford provided dealer delivery email on MONDAY (which is unusual): April 29- May 5 ..... So it's been 10 months. Totally expected. so ordering in October, you expect to get it after 4 months? Not going to happen. More like summer. Hope you get your Mav.

I've lurked this forum for months to get some insight into when my truck might be built and delivered and found it comforting I'm not the only one that has wondered just wtf is going on at Ford. Anyway, I finally called Ford corporate today to see if they had any status on the Maverick XLT Hybrid I ordered last October from a local dealer and which Ford had long ago confirmed via email. The Ford rep told me that parts delays were a problem but are now mostly resolved and it's now transportation from rail yards to dealers that is the major bottleneck. The Ford rep assured me that the truck will be built and delivered within the next few months and they will fill all confirmed orders. They told me to contact my dealer and get a few pieces of info to better determine where I stand in their allocation.

So, I call my dealer and am informed that they just received notice from Ford this morning that no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production. WTF!! I told my sales rep what Ford had just told me this morning, which is 100% the opposite of what the dealer had just told me and they had no explanation. I plan to call Ford again tomorrow to see what they say in response to what my dealer told me.

My dealer has been keeping me posted on the status regularly and I have no reason to believe they are lying since my sales rep told me she had to make about 10 bad calls to other customers today.

I was hesitant to buy a Ford to begin with, so if it turns out Ford has indeed screwed us, I will never consider them again. What a cluster.

So long as I don't have to worry about any of you driving a panel van full of puppies, kittens and candy scouring the neighborhood for children...
no need to worry- they switched to Ice Cream trucks decades ago!

My priority number is now 10. Does that even make a difference? I ordered my Hybrid in July.

But all those people making these claims, like myself, are NOT getting their hybrids scheduled.

This issue is dealer specific.

I've commented on everyone that's ever made this claim since I did nearly a month ago. None of us have since been scheduled, and we all ordered from small dealerships.

Yes, hybrids will still get scheduled in the coming weeks...but not everyone that ordered long ago. Just because others are lucky enough to get scheduled, others that ordered long ago are still getting fucked over and rolled over to 2023s
you should start all your replies on this with.. "and I repeat myself" (y) Otherwise nobody would ever give you credit for being so smart like Nostradamus

In my case, I read here about the supposed letter sent to the dealers about getting customers to change their orders to assist in the expiditing of builds.

My dealer confirmed that they did indeed get one of those letters.

In my case, I ordered Sept 11:

The manager has always been straight with me and showed me how I was # 11 out of 22 orders for their dealership.

He showed me how Ford seemed to NOT be following who ordered first, but which trucks might be eaiser to build (XL first, XLT next and so on.)

He told me when he moved me up to # 10 and how he as a dealer does NOT have the authority to move any order any higher than 10.

He showed me the list of those features that we sould consider removing from our truck, most of which (naturally) I have ordered.

And then he showed me something interesting.

He showed me that Ford (Above him), moved my order, and two other orders from his dealership) up to status 02 (meaning Second on the list.).

Now naturally this might not happen for everyone, but he told me that based upon this he recomended that I NOT cange anything unless I am skipped over again after this change.

So...

I'm thinking: possibly a nice new truck by Spring.

Right, that is what the deposit is for. Our dealership doesn't usually take deposits, but it depends on the dealer.

But my point was that the dealer takes the deposit, not Ford. The OP was claiming that because he paid a deposit to Ford that it was like a contract for them to build him a truck. Something like that. But he doesn't understand that the deposit doesn't go to Ford. Or that he doesn't buy a truck from Ford, but from the dealer.
I'm the OP and I never mentioned paying a deposit in my post.

People: Read my post before making fools of yourselves. I did not state anything about being impatient and I have no illusions that my truck would be delivered by now, or even by Spring. I simply relayed my experience to let others know what is going on and to see if anyone else is dealing with the same crap.

The easily triggered and illiterate on this forum need to step back and chill.

Sorry, OP was not correct. I meant the person (bdaniel230) I was replying to with that comment!

There is just lots of confusion here about giving "Ford" a deposit, when it is actually the dealer taking a deposit.

Sorry for any extra confusion I may have caused!

I mean, it's true as an October Hybrid there's a higher chance of getting bumped to MY23.

THIS IS why I have stopped viewing this site with any regularity. The negative feedback from others when someone cites a simple question about "where is my Maverick?"
I ordered mine in early August and just recently was provided a VIN number and projected build date at the end of March. Yes, it has been a long haul in uncharted territory (no one has ordered a car in a pandemic in the past); but I have learned to be patient with dealers who only charge MSRP, and with Ford, who appears to recognize they had great fault in letting things get to this ridiculous condition. But at the end of the day, I will wait for my truck and be happy when I get it. For those negative Nellys out there with nothing else to bitch about, get a life. It's been three weeks since I last viewed this site and no doubt it will be another three weeks before I darken its' image again. I can't wait to get past all of this. In the meantime....have a nice day and stay positive.

To those that knee-jerked and called my a liar, a troll and posted other disparaging comments...

See the following thread that confirms my story. Not everyone is getting their Mav. Ford says so:

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ng-customer-options-and-order-amendment.10891
I haven't posted any disparaging comments about you. As far as I can tell, you are just reporting what your dealer told you. But... the thread you cite does not confirm what your dealer told you. Here's why...

Your opening post says that your dealer told you that "no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production."

The thread you cite, on the other hand, displays a memo from Ford saying that "the priority for remaining production will go to unscheduled Maverick retail orders based on the date they were submitted by the customer’s Ford dealership, vehicle model and configuration selected, part availability, and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealership receives:"

These are not the same thing. There is a huge gap between saying no more so-far-unscheduled XLTs or hybrids will be built and saying certain options are in short supply.

Yes. That's the highest number an ROVP order can get (10-19). Once the "In Production" email is received, it will move to 2.
