Ford still has production to schedule from May forward. What's possible though, is given you have an October hybrid order your dealer may have realized he has too many other hybrid orders ahead of yours, and doesn't expect to have enough allocations to get it scheduled. Instead of telling you they can't get YOUR truck scheduled, they're saying Ford is cutting off all scheduling.

Or they fouled up your order and don't want to admit it.

As someone that ordered in July I really have no sympathy for you. There's a ton of people that ordered in the summer that haven't got their trucks yet. Maybe you should just buy another Toyota and move on.

I smell a variation of the bait and switch routine. Make the customer feel like his hybrid will be pushed to MY23 and sell him an Ecoboost now and rake in a 5-10 profit off his original order.

No Toyota for me.

But I was just telling my girlfriend, she LOVES hearing about my Mav, I didn’t order on June 8th because I didn’t want the truck in September. Hahahaha. Oh how stupid I was back then, just a kid. Hahaha.

I waited until July to order, the day before the first “call for orders” or whatever it was from Ford to get an idea of the number and balance of trim/engine.

Would you just chill out. For screwed you? Really? They don't want to sell you anything. Just another impatient person who expects Ford to be Amazon Prime after going through a two year parts and supplier issue that is out of their control. Why don't you order a Cybertruck? I've had my Maverick Hybrid Lariat for three weeks after ordering in June. It takes time!

I think you two may have misread the OP's post.

He's not complaining about delays. (Which seems to be what bothers you.)

He's asking if what his dealer told him -- that no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production -- is true or not.

Tell the dealer he has no idea what he is talking about. I’d ride it out and wait on your ordered hybrid. Ford will get to it before the 2023‘s go into production.

This has to be in the top ten list of "Things My Dealer said Today" threads. I get the frustration though. Fords customer service says the best source of information is your dealer and then when you contact your dealer you get bullshit like this.

Frustrating af for sure and Ford needs to address this head on.

To all the reading comprehension-challenged replying to my post; I posted my experience simply to let others know what is actually happening. The mavbros on this forum that reflexively pounce on anyone that throws some reality at them is hilarious. How many people ordered in June, July, August and haven't heard a thing since? Tens of thousands of pissed off customers, that's who. Ford has f'd up this launch and the sad truth is starting to come out.

There's no reality in your original post. Just speculation. I suggest looking up the definition of "reality" and stop spreading speculation as fact. Also, the "reality" is that there are something like 10,000 registered members here, about half of which have reported their order info so based on the tens of thousands of actual orders, this place is a small cross section of most Ford Maverick customers. I challenge your assumption that Ford has "tens of thousands of pissed off customers". I think most customers understand the timeline of the OKTB situation with the Maverick Hybrid and the fact that every manufacturer is dealing with a supply chain issue.
