But they are taking Ecoboost orders. I'm sure, once Ford gets going on the Hybrid builds - Chapman will re-start the Hybrid ordering again.

I personally ordered through Chapman Ford of Horsham because I am just 45 minutes away, so it was a no brainer to take advantage of the under-invoice pricing. My experience with them has been great - super responsive and helpful!

I would stay with Autonation Ford in Frisco TX where I ordered my Hybrid Maverick XLT.

They do MSRP with no dealer adds and $150 doc fee on orders.

Ordered 8/23, Scheduled 9/16, Built 11/29, Shipped 11/30, Delivered 12/13

I have had my Hybrid for a little over two months now and absolutely love it.

No, you can't transfer an order from one dealer to another. When they were accepting orders you could have placed an order with another dealer.

Remember, you are not ordering a vehicle from Ford, the dealer is. It isn't your vehicle until the deal is complete and the vehicle delivered to you.

In rare circumstances Ford might be able to intervene and switch an order to a different dealer, but this is not a normal occurrence.

The warranty is with FORD... Years ago you could go to FORD's Highland Park assembly plant on Woodward Avenue and take delivery at the end of the assembly line. Not any more.. Then they made the Transportation Charge equal for everyone whether delivered in Ohio, Arizona or Maine.. Since mine was made in Mexico I picked it up in Detroit. I got a better deal than here in Kansas. where every dealer treats every customer like a stupid share cropper.

BTW- the Detroit metro Ford Dealers - about 20 or so within 50 miles of Detroit had over 50 mavericks sitting on their lots. 9 months ago when I bought. When I was in Washington DC, I saw a Sunday Detroit News Paper advertising a New Ford Ranger.. With an out the door price.. DC area dealers could not match the price. I called Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor (Go Michigan) The salesman picked me up at Detroit Metro Airport... Took me to the dealership.. I had choice of 8 Rangers- 7 different colors the base model but with a tach.. which is what I wanted.. 15 minutes later I was driving back to DC with a 30 day tag.. I saved over a grand even after airfare.. That was about 1995..
Did the same with my Maverick.. saved about $3500 but bought CREST Ford in Warren Michigan.. This time I drove up stayed with a sister, who had scoped the maverick at the dealer then sold my ride to my Nephew for $5K over what the dealer wanted to give me trade in. Still my nephew bought my car for $5K less than CARMAX sells them for..Both times I got to enjoy the ride back home in a new truck.. and honed the cylinders at cruising speed;then changed the oil at 1.2K miles. Aways Mobile 1 for the last 40 years..

If price your biggest concern, order from Chapman (in Penns.) or Granger ( in Iowa). Otherwise, just call all the dealers near you who will give you MSRP and low document fees.

I will be ordering mine from Granger in Monday!

I am so glad that I did some research before ordering.
