As the new Director of Maverick Colors, your first task is to add three new colors and drop 3 current colors. What are your decisions ?

Drop:

Carbonized Gray
Schoolbus Yellow (aka Orange)
Hot Pepper Red

Add:

Everglades Green
90s Ranger Splash Yellow
Creamsicle Orange

Honestly I'd drop black and white, but those are staples that seem to just stick around for businesses and people who like waste water washing their vehicles.

Add medium to darkish green, khaki and battleship grey. Plus bright fire engine red.

Not sure about dropping anything.

To whom are you directing your question? It appears to be one person but there are several answers.

Add: Eruption Green Metallic, Sand Tan (non metallic), Rapid Red

Drop: Cyber Orange (makes mine more unique), HPR, Shadow Black (not selling all that well, anyway)

I figured we can't really say drop Rapid Red, because it already is de facto dropped at the end MY 22.

I really struggled dropping any color. I love them all! I would be OK having any current Maverick color. I just have an order of preference.

Certainly I'd drop hot pepper red in favor of rapid red being a standard color. My focus however would be on adding interior color options, as most vehicles you can get light or dark plastics option. In the case of the Maverick, I'd leave the blue option but also provide a black option.

Blue interior pairs well with certain blue exterior colors for the Maverick, but not with others like yellow, rapid red, hot pepper red. In addition, the Lariat brown has no matching wheel or paint options to tie it to the exterior.

As an example of good pairing of interior and exterior, I'd recommend looking at the Chevy Trailblazer, where not only is it a cool two tone paint but the interior accents perfectly match the paint:

This is Henry: "You can have any color you want as long as it is black"

Based on the color ordering poll, these were the least chosen, in that order: Shadow Black, Rapid Red, Iconic Silver. If the point is to maximize profits, then swap those colors with: Matte Black, Afterburner Red (gloss, flat) and Glacier silver/white (Iridescent pearl, with $750 upcharge).

Most will not like this but I think that the colors should be left as is. If someone doesn't like the colors they can do one of two things. 1. Don't buy a Maverick because you don't like the colors that are offered or: 2. Buy one of any color and repaint it once you take possession.
Why? If Ford sees that one or more of a particular color is not selling too well, they will discontinue that color and add a different one for next year. It they add or drop a particular color in the middle of the production year, they will get some to be confused or ticked off. Once the line is drawn, it can't be changed in the middle of the game. This lets everyone know where they stand.
