Would love to know if it's possible to add Eco and Sport modes to the FX4.
Apparently you can. I was talking to someone who enabled sport mode on his FX4 with Forscan and now he cycles thru 7 modes

Someone needs to do a easier to follow “HOW TO“ either video or write up, then the one posted.

From what I understand the module that contains the modes can be done in easy mode Instead of changing all the number values like what was posted?

Using the contact email for FORScan I was sent a 2.3.47test version to hopefully solve the issue. I installed that version tonight and was able to successfully write to the BdyCM module. I now have LED turn signal bulbs installed without hyperflash on the cluster. I also disabled the double honk when leaving the cabin. I haven't tested it yet and it doesn't happen often, but I hate when I walk away from a vehicle and it honks to let me know I left it on. It has done it a couple times on me in the last 2 months.

However, I then tried to write to the IPC module to enable global window open/close and got an error about gain security access failed. I sent the logs to FORScan support team again and hopefully they come up with something else to try. Hopefully we can get all of these bugs worked out and it benefits the rest of the Maverick owners when they finally get theirs and try to re-code modules. I got to say, I am so relieved that I was able to turn that steering wheel heat down as well. That is a multiple times per day annoyance that is now resolved.

I probably need to dig around some more and see what all else can be done.
If you can, can you post a download link to the test version for others having issues with version 2.3.46. I've gotten a few pms from people having issues with this version.

Yes you can edit the ABS module in easy mode in the latest ForScan revision

1. Configure ABS module
2. Set SDM-ABS “disabled”. This turns off the packaging of the modes (non FX4 and FX4) and lets them be individually available
3. “Enable” whatever drive modes you want to have

After you write the change, whichever modes you switched on will be individually selectable and functional.

You still have to add the drive modes if you don't already have them as options in the cluster.

The test build the support team sent me for 2.3.47 is at this link: https://forscan.org/download/FORScanSetup2.3.47.test20220210.exe

Use at your own risk, but this is the one that let me code both the IPC and BdyCM modules on my truck.
Thanks. I've had about 3 or so people asking me why they couldn't write their IPC clusters with V 2.3.46 Sounds like it is a common problem for certain builds. I'll pass it along.

edit
Looks like I have a slightly newer build as it turns out since it is dated 0214. Either should do the trick.

🤷‍♂️ Those steps are all I did. ECO and Sport were set to disabled. I turned them on and both are in the cluster when cycling modes and are definitely functional when driving.

There is no way you had eco, sport, mud and snow drive modes all visible at the same time in the stock configuration with a non FX4 package on a 4inch cluster screen. You only get eco and sport visible as built from the factory.

So what package do you have installed as built from the factory, non FX4 or FX4?

I never said I had a non FX4 for starters. Maybe you should check my signature before flying off about me being wrong?

Okay so you have an FX4 package. I admit I didn't read the signature but I know your config didn't have eco and sport enabled in the cluster by default. You changed the drive modes that were available after the fact.

Here is a VIN for an XLT w/FX4
3FTTW8F95NRA35219

If you look that up here
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt/Details

For register 720-04-03 the code is
0000 0001 E150

That says the FX4 package only has the mud and snow modes active in the cluster by default as built from the factory.
xxx1 = mud drive mode
E1xx = snow drive mode

That code is different for eco and sport modes active and different when all 4 drive modes are active.

My point stands you also need to enable the drive modes for either package afterwards that isn't available by default.

Cool. I was just responding to someone who asked about Eco & Sport on an FX4 specifically. I don’t know the steps for anything but that. I did the 3 steps I mentioned, key cycled the car and now have 7 modes in the cluster that all work correctly. I’m sure info for anything beyond that is in this thread or the other one for people to find.

What did you do to key cycle the truck?
