Drove to grocery store and 5 different people approach me at my parking spot . they wanted to look at the truck and asked questions about it . I obliged them and actually allowed two of them to sit in the truck . four wanted to buy a maverick and one firefighter has hybrid lariet on order . he is waiting for delivery .
Same here. I think I'll just make up some flyers.

I installed one a week ago. Instructions were very clear. Except for cinching down one of the mounts to the tailgate, install level was easy. The mount to the tailgate requires you to pull the mount outward while tightening the bolt. There's a special nut on the back that is supposed to rotate just enough to grab the inside of the tailgate. Hard to explain, but once you see the directions, you'll understand. What helped was removing the blue lock tite that made the screw very difficult to turn while putting pressure against the inside of the talilgate. Once that was cleaned off, all went much more smoothly. Hope this helps.
I eventually did it myself. That special nut was really difficult to tighten. All good now. Thanks!

That's the spirit. We often can do more than what we give ourselves credit. Glad to hear it all went well. Thanks for replying. I know in some of the YouTube reviews, the absence of an assist wasn't a big deal, but once you have a truck that has one, it's unthinkable to not have it.

Lady wanted some cabinets, so I went to go get some cabinets. Two in the bed one in the rear seat.
Hauled some pallets around, had to make two trips cause I only trusted my ropes and knot tying abilities to do 6 at a time. So decided to make some trips to Home Depot and Harbor Freight. Got some ratchet straps because want to be sure of the load being secure and being able to do it quicker. Got some generic D-Rings to install later and compare to the oem ones. + some other tools and supplies that I ordered. Thinking about ordering a cubby to have a place to put those straps and not beneath the rear seat.

Waiting on some LEDs to put in, tie downs to add, and the steering wheel switches to add cruise control cause why not, ACC sounds tempting.

I added a small step bumper at my hitch receiver. I also swapped the long stinger radio antenna for a 4" stubby one. In the bed I added a cargo bar. It adds a lot more flexibility. Most of the time I will just loop a price of outdoor carpet off of it for when I'm carrying groceries and such.

I put on a vinyl steering wheel cover. I think that the steering wheel is too slippery. And I ordered a cell phone holder.

Costco this morning for a new garden shed.
$649, BTW.
Notice the dog hammock protecting the rear seat.

I like what you did here, especially the bumper step. Old guys like me will find that handy.

Found out it takes longer to wash than my MINI did. Yesterday I took a friends fluxcore welder to my daughters house to repair a Christmas decoration. NOBODY knew how to weld. It was educational and very funny. Ended up ugly and fixed. NO, you can't see any pictures.

The warm weather and sunlight is a great motivator :p

Interesting, for me it's the opposite. Mostly cause I feel like the mini has a lot of crevices that trap dirt and stuff. The only crevice I've noticed on the maverick is beneath the rear window.

As for what I did today, put in LEDs for the reverse lights, fixed my drop in bed liner bowing out beneath the rear window with 3M tape + adhesion promoter (That stuff works 👍), and finally installed the rear part of my dashcam and actually routed the wires. Probably gonna wash the cars tomorrow in the morning and maybe installed the LED bed lighting I got but gonna take the day off tinkering to enjoy the warm weather :)

Went and ran cable. This is from last night from when I was prepping. Two 6-foot ladders.

I love this truck. It's just big enough for what I need, and I got 39.3mpg last time I fueled up.

So I pilfered this post from one of my motorcycle groups. It’s fun to see what everyone is up to. (Other than that poor SOB whose cousin totaled his)

today I got the front sides tinted to match factory

also added the tailgate assist.

I did the exact same thing today. It took me 15 minutes.
