I'm really gonna have to hash out the interest rate thing with my dealership as I've been given different info (and I know others have posted the same from their respective dealers) as to whether or not they're eligible for the financing rates as of the order date.

On the pricing talk at about 35 minutes in. If I want to use a different lender than Ford, can I still use the price when I ordered the vehicle or would I have to take the current price? Or is that a dealer specific question?

That financing is offered by Ford Motor Credit (not the dealer). The dealer gets a residual kickback based on the rate, so they are eager to use the highest rate they can and still keep your business.

I think Tim is a reliable source when it comes to all things Ford.

Makes sense.... I'll follow up with the Ford Motor Credit folks and confirm with them directly. And, yep, Tim has been an amazing font of information!

Said with all due respect, I did hear back from Ford Motor Credit itself today and they stated that I would not have the option to get the rates and incentives that were available when I ordered my truck. I'll definitely continue shopping foy best financing options.

Tim @fordvideoguy is this something new? That (see above) that we cannot get the rates in effect when the order was placed.

I thought that rates were included on order protection along with price and incentives. I'll do some research.

Yeah, hearing Tim say otherwise was news to me.
I’ve never heard of a dealer being able to honor old finance promotional rates.
The dates of promo financing are the dates the vehicle has to be purchased and financed by. Past that, you are subject to the current or new rates.
But maybe I’m wrong and Ford financing will honor rates from 9 months ago. Seems unusual though.

Thx, Tim - looking forward to seeing what you're able to find from your research.
