Last week the delivery date for my October 26 order was delayed from February 27 to May 27. Today, 2/8, my order status finally switched from "in production" to "built," with a March 16 delivery date. My guess is that some chips came in. Posting this info for others like me who had their delivery date pushed back. FYI this is an Ecoboost with Lux Package and SIBL.

Time to call those dealers and cancel those Lux packages people!

I cancelled my first order and upgraded. They dealer does not care, they now will have inventory to mark up on their lot. I basically ordered it for them, while I wait likely till next year. It took my dealer 3 weeks to do the order change. They blame Covid. Ok whatever.

Produced maybe, but not finished and delivered. Have any of the Jan 03/Jan 10 build week victims buyers received anything official from Ford? I haven't. Last I heard from Ford, mine should be arriving on the 21st. Wonder why no information when they are clearly sending scheduling emails out?
I haven’t. 1/10 build. Nothing official, just the tracker with eta delivery 5/20/22 from 2/20/22

This just dropped in my email. "Ford's Chicago plant shut down this week for a second week as semiconductor shortage enters 2nd year".

Does the dealer have any control over which Maverick order gets approved/allowed/picked from their allotment? I'm a first-time buyer from my dealership, so if they can somehow control my build priority, I may be in trouble...
No they can't, only thing they can do is change the priority code. Options are 10-19.

Those darn chips. I say that selfishly as I don't really care for the SIBL but will not give up heated seats.
I gave it ALL up (XL) just to expedite my 14 Feb. build date from my 11 Oct. order. I saw THIS coming by following you people on the forum. Maybe I'll have my truck late March/early April/NEVER!

Hey @fordvideoguy...

Does the Brand Manager (or anyone else) know if the folks in Hermosillo are making any effort to put chips in the Mavericks stuck in the holding lot on "Chip Hold"?

Or are they just ignoring the trucks in the holding lot and putting all their effort/materials into the trucks coming off the line each day?

(I ask because I see folks getting their trucks -- same equipment as mine -- built and shipped in late January and February after mine was built and set aside earlier in January.)

I live in SoCal. I refuse to give up my heated seats. Nothing feels better when your back hurts. I don't care of it hot out. 😂

No way! Hard pass for me lol.

We ought to start a thread as to who has been rescheduled the most and think of some reward for that. Lol
[/QUOXL carbonized gray ordered 10/11. Build date shoved UP from 2/21 to 2/14. I might get excited again in like ,oh. June?

Those two facilities are the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant – which builds the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator – as well as the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant – which builds the Ford Bronco and Ford Ranger. Production at both plants stopped yesterday, and both will be idle through next week as a direct result of the chip shortage.

To date, the shortage has cost automakers hundreds of billions in lost revenue and has sent new and used vehicle prices soaring to new record highs with each passing month. Ford has been impacted tremendously by this supply chain crisis as well and was previously projected to lose roughly 700,000 units of production last year alone.

Guess we can stop the rumor that chips we only go to high profit production lines.
Thank you for the clarification on one of my previous posts. I actually thought Ford was evil enough (They are) of doing exactly that. Thank you and I'll stop forwarding that opinion.

I ordered my XLT with the CoPilot 360 in September of 2021. Sounds like it won't be fulfilled until the summer or end of the year, so we're buying a used car as both my wife and I can't keep adding the miles to our one lease vehicle any more. Not going to cancel my Maverick order but with it evidently months away we just need the wheels to do my job. Hopefully I won't lose too much money in all this.
