I wish I had thought of doing that! I would have ordered different colors and options then compared when they showed up!I kind of followed the lead of some here.
I have 3 orders with 3 different dealers. Hopefully 1 of the 3 won't try any crazy, I hope.
IIRC, from reading the explanation of drop shipping by dealerinsider on here, you also get to pay for the ground transportation to accepting dealer and he gets UShip quotes for that. Think $1k+ ????No.
I am paying $459 for drop ship, tag & registration.
I haven't seen the final amount from Chapman's yet because it was just decided I would pay taxes at Chapman's not at drop ship dealer. I was told since purchase was at Chapman's he didn't have anything to apply taxes to. So I'll await a final number from Chapman's and the deposit amount to drop ship.
Not 100% sure I know what you're saying or believe you.IIRC, from reading the explanation of drop shipping by dealerinsider on here, you also get to pay for the ground transportation to accepting dealer and he gets UShip quotes for that. Think $1k+ ????
There was a detailed explanation of the process in 1 of those dealer started threads- don't want to mis-speak which guy listed it but you can review the "4%" off, "3%" off MSRP threads yourself. I never said it was going to Horsham, but it comes from factory on a train to US border , then gets unloaded and put on a truck to final destination whether Horsham or Florida. THAT is the part where the guy said he has to get a UShip quote from border holding/transfer facility to final destination. Contact him to confirm for yourself if you don't want to find the post. Not 100% sure I know what you're saying or believe you.
Tom has stated, the Maverick will be SHIPPED DIRECTLY to my Drop Ship dealer in Florida from the factory. The Maverick will NOT be delivered to Horsham, PA and then trucked to Florida.
Not sure where you are getting your info from but I would question them.
The shipping quote is from your local dealer back to Horsham. You will pay this as a deposit in the event once the truck gets to your local dealer you do not take delivery. If you accept the truck and take delivery, that shipping amount is deducted from your final total. There was a detailed explanation of the process in 1 of those dealer started threads- don't want to mis-speak which guy listed it but you can review the "4%" off, "3%" off MSRP threads yourself. here, you can start with this post and see where he mentions UShip quote...Not 100% sure I know what you're saying or believe you.

We can handle your Va tax/tags or if you are paying cash, you are welcome to handle them...you can either come to pick up or we can get a uship.com quote for ujayman465 said:
Hey Tom,
I am a bit away from PA but travel often up there to see family. How would this work if I was from a state such a Virginia?
Thank you in a advance.

Of note it is 3 and 4 points off of invoice, not msrpThere was a detailed explanation of the process in 1 of those dealer started threads- don't want to mis-speak which guy listed it but you can review the "4%" off, "3%" off MSRP threads yourself. Invoice is lower. Do that.Dealer is telling me I can order @ dealer invoice price so what's the difference between that and MRSP ? Thx -
There is a 630$ difference between msrp snd the lower invoice on my reservation, then take another 4% off so that’s a savings of 3,608.74 off of msrp. Add back the 364 pa doc fee and then he $200 cd fee and I am still 3k under msrpDealer is telling me I can order @ dealer invoice price so what's the difference between that and MRSP ? Thx -
Thx- Probably no additional mark downs out west- 4 percent off sounds lovely howeverThere is a 630$ difference between msrp snd the lower invoice on my reservation, then take another 4% off so that’s a savings of 3,608.74 off of msrp. Gotcha. Sorry for confusion, now I know where you're coming from. The UShip amount would be from Florida to PA, NOT from border location to Florida. There was a detailed explanation of the process in 1 of those dealer started threads- don't want to mis-speak which guy listed it but you can review the "4%" off, "3%" off MSRP threads yourself. But note this is because you are not using a courtesy dealer. Using a CD the truck never goes to PAGotcha. Sorry for confusion, now I know where you're coming from.
Yes, the UShip amount is the Deposit I'll have to provide Tom in PA. It's his insurance since he owns the truck if I decline delivery. I'm expecting to take delivery so it will just come off the bottom of what I owe him. The only way I'll decline is if it's damaged.
