How does one add the 6.5 inch productivity screen to the XLT if looking for the tow package ? FX4 is redundant except adds this...Can you add both ?
You can option both 4K tow and fx4 on your build. It's got some redundancies and there's no discount or credit for adding both

But the 6.5" screen is so much more premium looking than the small screen on the XL and XLT otherwise

yes, you can add both. while I would have liked the bigger screen and nicer looking gauges, I decided the price difference was too much for my build.

Do you have an iPhone or Android phone? You can use Apple Maps using CarPlay or Google Maps using Android Auto it’s easy and better than any factory system I’ve ever seen.
Understood, but I wonder how that would affect people like me with small data plans. I typically use WiFi, so I can easily get by with a less expensive 2Gb data plan. Having to use my phone for navigation would obviously use data… I just don’t know how much that would affect me.

Rotary Gear Shift Dial Includes Select Drive Modes: Normal, Sport, Mud/Rut, Sand
and Tow/Haul
Are we sure ? Seems like one package would over ride the other in regards to modes - I mean what's the max # of modes - probably need to see a more indepth technical document.

That's literally what the order guide says

4K Tow doesn't add any different modes

Is there a similar type device for iPhone (Apple)?
Yes, there is. https://cplay2air.com/

And if you mount the phone via a magnetic holder near the dash, when in waze you get the map on the 8" screen and the turn by turn directions will be on the phone itself which I find nice. The wireless charging is nice but when you plug in and have the phone in a position to see it, you effectively get another screen and it's charging at the same time. I ordered a Lariat w/Lux as well so I'll have to see how much I use the wireless charging. If I'm taking the time to remove the phone from my pocket, plugging in a cable and putting it on a magnetic mount next to the center screen is IMHO very simple and more useful to me while I'm driving.

I currently have this setup in my VW and it's great. I can post photos of my setup if anyone is interested.

Yes but you will still need to connect the cable every time to use, I wonder if that will confuse the wireless charger?
No, the wireless charger couldn't care less about it. You can plug in one phone and put another on the charger and so on.

Thanks for the info, extremely helpful. I just have never found Waze to be useful but I haven't sat down and played with it enough I guess. I have Navigation in all of my vehicles and have never needed it. I have a Garmin GPS I was going to use as it has free map updates for life so It's alway current.

As for the wireless charger, can the phone be charging and still on the cplay2air? I typically don't need to charge but you never know. Does the iPhone battery drain using CarPlay? If so, I may need to charge.

Not sure what you meant by magnetic holder near the dash and get map on 8" and turn by turn and directions on iPhone. What type of magnetic mount do you use and where do you have to position it? Never used a magnetic mount before. So the vehicle 8" will only have the map and the sounds and directions come from phone and not through the vehicle?

I’m a little disappointed that they took away the cargo bed lights which are located on the rear cab third brake.

That would be an issue. With any phone data plan you also can hit a dead spot while using your phone gps. Any chance you are a senior? TMobile has a senior plan with unlimited data and wifi hotspot that is very reasonable; it’s what we use. We even cut cable and use the wifi hotspot to stream to the tv.

Pretty sure 73 qualifies as senior! šŸ˜‚
I’m happy with my Verizon service for now, so I’ll probably just use my old Garmin GPS with Lifetime Maps in the Maverick. I usually travel in my Subaru Outback anyway.

Took it away or is no longer LED?
