Maverick odometer mileage at delivery?

When took delivery, I was amazed to see 55 miles on the odometer?
What do we think is the cause or is this normal/reasonable?

I had 12 on mine. 55, I feel like means someone did some test drives in it.

Use to work at a dealership. When the new vehicles would come in, we would take the plastic off, add on dealer options (mud flaps, floor mats etc) then go take it to the gas station fill it up and drive 20-30 miles.
2 reasons
1 too see if anything is wrong.
2 too burn off all the access oil, plastic ect that might be floating around.
they said they only did that because they had SOO many people brining back their car saying “something's burning” and its just the new plastic oil smell.

66 Miles on mine at pickup. (30 miles of test driving at factory) I’m glad they tested it at the factory since it sat around for 3 months...

If it means they were test driving it, all the better. 50 something miles is nothing. I wouldn't want a vehicle that hasn't been test driven at all.

19 miles. Ours was the first Ecoboost to hit the dealer so I'm assuming someone took it for a little spin before we bought it.

Mine had 20. Seems about right between the factory and the techs test driving.

This is common on new production model vehicles. Mine had some miles on it when I bought it. No big deal.

I had 14 miles on my Maverick. The dealer did say that they did some test driving to check for any possible issues. So far after 6 weeks, no issues for me.
