I have the platinum explorer and love the sony system in it. In my prius, it came with top end sound (I think bose) and it was also acceptable (I didn't feel the need to swap it out).

I was going for the lariat lux package regardless, so hoping it will be good enough.
As do I buy I know how good aftermarket speakers are and I know that no factory sound system would ever compare. I’m getting the lariat lux as well and am hoping the B&O system is what I would term “acceptable”.

very true. So quick and I'm excited for that. Ill be one to modify mine a bit for sure.
I want to modify, but based on torque limits, I'm not sure if it would be a good call just yet

Very excited to read some direct comparison to the Ranger. I'll be trading in a 21 Ranger XLT FX4. I really like my Ranger but I'll stop short of saying I love it. I am thinking and hoping that the Maverick will address the things I am not crazy about in the Ranger and I will love it.
What are some of the things your not crazy about in the Ranger?

What Road Noise? lol Honestly almost non existent. The usual like wind whistles I'm assuming at higher speeds. But if it helps in anyway for text, the model was a Lariat, non Off Road Package so not sure what those tires would sound like either. Overall solid, Very very impressed.
How about the noise for non Lariat? The lower trims don't have any accoustic windshield.

hey Brian, If I'm not mistaken, this image below is the normal Cluster. An image that I have attached to my own thread of some photos of the maverick, those include the 6.5 inch one that comes with the Fx4/ lariat. Hope this helps

this is the hybrid cluster, unless the 2.0 is gonna rev to 18000 rpm.

1) What did you think about the Active X seats?

2) Do they feel like leather in a way or something different?

3) During the test drive were you able to take any corners with some speed? Any body roll?

Thanks

Like I said I'm not sure, but if compared to the XLT ranger, which can be comparable because of the same style and the acoustic, the XLT is actually quiet.

1)Personally I liked them more than normal, but in my experience I like the cloth seats in the XLT better. But for the Lariat, super nice.

2)soft leather if that's the best way to describe it

3) sadly no, but based off of the tests seen recently at the test track here in Michigan in the off-road track, it seems to handle it well.
this thing seems very durable, and actually off road capable --->

One thing I was wondering, is that the B&O system claims 8 speakers. If that means you get two more speakers somewhere that a lower trim won't have space for, that's a good reason...even if you want to upgrade to different speakers later.

This isn't from the truck Noah drove. Someone else asked for a pic of a different cluster
2nd time I've seen this cluster so it is indeed for the Hybrid?

kW instead of RPM tach will be a different way to think. I already got used to kW by driving my other car (PHEV).

The one linked is definitely a hybrid (but as I mentioned, not actually from the truck that Noah drove)

The two extra speakers are a center dash speaker and a lil subwoofer in the back. What’s really going to make the difference hopefully is the amp the B&O system comes with.

Glad you decided to share your experience!
I have one question for you… what did you think of the overall size of this pickup? What pickup does it remind you of in overall size?
