so In a whirlwind of circumstance I actually was unable to purchase the maverick I had ordered and made arrangements for another buyer to take over the order. Mine would have been msrp, however I am unsure if the secondary buyer paid msrp. I worked with Roger H. Who even returned the $250...
Typically autoshow vehicles have a more beefy paint job than that of a retail unit, especially early marketing vehicles. I live in the Detroit area and have family at each of the big 3, so they are my source. Obviously they could be wrong but I trust them.
Thank you for the compliment btw. I'm...
Realistically this is a marketing/show vehicle. They tend to have much more Clearcoat than your typical vehicle. Though I agree that something like collenite or a ceramic coating would get you close. https://photos.app.goo.gl/8oHqtUu199po1q628
Here's where I got with a light polish and ceramic...
Exactly!
I will say a da polisher can be had for as little as 80$ with pads and such. It is quite fun to do it as well if you are willing to learn. I have paint corrected 15 vehicles so far, with my 16th happening tomorrow with my father's new class b. I will do a one step even with a brand...
I agree with this wholeheartedly. Ceramic coatings are only worth it if you are willing to do it yourself, which is becoming much easier over time. I also think the turtle wax hybrid solutions line is a great way to go. I am using that line for my wife's lease currently.
Personally I prefer ceramic coating because of the look, but I can understand the desire for ppf as I also live in Rock chip city. Either way don't get them from the dealer. My dad just bought an 18ft rv and the dealer wanted 2500 to ceramic coat it. I'm doing it for him and only had to spend...
Hey same trade here! I am excited to see how it feels in comparison. I assume it's got more grab down low and less up top because of the weight and awd.
Seems like the 0-60 of the awd escape 2.0 and the focus st are similar
So if I am understanding correctly a lease is basically a loan for the depreciated value expected over x months. So you pay for 41% of the car broken down over 3 years. The 5.29 is added on to the monthly chunk that you are paying. I'm not sure what rate it's accrued at so that's an answer...
I'm hopeful that having ordered a first edition early on in the order window will warrant a high priority for spray in liner. If not I'll just patiently wait for my truck to be made.
Who else that ordered a lariat is a bit bummed that we are not getting the digital instrument cluster like the high trim escapes get? I was under the impression that it would come with it, but under further investigation it is a 6.5 in screen. I'm sure many will be happy to have "analog" gauges...
I used to do that job exactly for a 3rd party firm in Michigan, trust me it was not worth it..... pay was abysmal, at least for me. Was a summer job during college. Or you can become an engineer for ford.
Preface: I drive a 17 focus st so the tune is meant for performance and not mpg. However hp and trq are nearly identical to the maverick spec
From my experience the 2.0eb, running premium does not make for much of a difference with mpg, maybe 1-2 average higher.
What it does change is throttle...
