Yeah. I went pretty bare bones maybe I'll get rid of the outlet option and opt for the copilot.
You still get a 12 volt outlet for the rear seat that you can put a multi USB fast charger, and/or in my motorhome plug-in a 300 volt pure sine inverte.

The copilot wasn't worth it to me. The xl comes with enough standard copilot features.

For 500 dollars its not worth it to make me a lazy driver.

I was mainly considering it for the sliding rear window but I'm not paying nearly 700 for a window that hardly opens.

I want adaptive cruise control and lane centering like I have with my Honda Accord. I ordered the copilot on my xl thinking it was those features. Come to find out you need to order the Lariat with the lux package at 10k premium to get that.
I wonder if someone buys the parts separately if they could be installed and activated on lower trims with co-pilot?

I thought it was dumb on my wife's explorer until the collision alert legitimately saved me one time. I was hitting the answer call button on Android auto when the definte would be collision would have taken place. How is that not worth the ~$500 is basically my rationale

Depends on the computer doing the checking. You would likely have to flash the firmware to make it think it was the different trim. Not that it’s a huge problem I give it a few months before the encryption is hacked, heck may already be.

usually the systems are integrated enough that it would be cheaper to just install them at purchase. Remember you can part out a new vehicle for more than purchase pretty easily.

Because the emergency breaking is standard, not part of the 360.

The package is cross-traffic, blind spot, and lane keep. I never use the blind spot in our Audi, I always look before I change lanes. I hated the lane keep alert in my Tacoma, always had it off. I probably would have ordered it if it had rear sonar.

This is highly complex safety equipment. Unless you are a master mechanic you are taking your life in your hands, you would be adding radar, changing the instrument panel and steering wheel and changing software and maybe even computer. To hire someone to do it, the whole process would probably cost more than just buying a Lariat with adaptive cruise in the first place. Individual parts are always more expensive too. Then, if it's screwed up, don't even think of trying to go back to Ford,or if you're really lame- suing.

My wife has a 2020 Subaru Forester with all the safety stuff and the "Only" thing that is helpful and useful is the BLISS - the Lane-Keeping stuff is useless and VERY irritating. Either one of us pay any attention to the Driver Alert light in the mirror any more (we turn our head and look beside us) and the lane assist drives me crazy, because we live on back roads and there is ALWAYS something in the road (trash, pot holes, dead animals), so that thing beeps all the time trying to avoid, so I turn if off 99% of the time. For the $540, you could just be a careful driver and save the cash. If you order the XL model, then it is worth the cost, because you get the side power mirrors. If I could order just the BLISS on the XLT without the other stuff, then it would be worth it - Just My Opinion.

I'm curious to see how it all works when I get mine (Lariat Lux). I went to the Lariat for the seats and noise dampening windshield. I went with the Lux package for all the sound and convenience features. The safety features are a bonus, to me. I'll see what I like and turn off what I don't.

So this was something I debated for a while, but I decided agianst it because the safety features are really basic. If I was getting a Lariat Lux that had Copilot 360 with the enhanced technology (adaptive cruise, lane CENTERING, accident avoidence) I would do it. But the 360 on the XLT or XL only has lane assist, which I never use because it's super herky jerky and unreliable.

BLIS is a good technology and it's good for modern cars/SUV's that have poor visibility, but this is a boxy truck we're buying. Being able to check your "blind spots" on it should be pretty easy. Standard without it you get the two safety features I actually care about: emergency braking and a backup camera. That's good enough.

As an FYI, this also gives you powered mirrors on the XL. They don’t advertise it but that was confirmed by Long Arthur Ford.

The extra safety features + powered mirrors are always welcome IMO.

Same. I like the comforts that come with the Lariat.
