Because most people are generally lazy or don’t know how to order a vehicle. They just want to walk on a lot and sit in a car and drive it. They don’t want to go through what we are.

I've been driving mine in Houston since 11/26 and have not seen another on the road. I even did a trip through D/FW and Austin via rural roads and am always on the lookout and eyeing the dealerships!
And a funny thing is only once has someone asked about mine. I was pulling off a main highway headed to Torchys Tacos in Sugar Land and didn't realize i was followed in. Turns out it was a tourist from Tennessee that was just passing through on the way to Corpus Christi and was trying to get a better look at the first one he had seen "in the wild". Showing Texas hospitality i bought his family's dinner at Torchys.

I can't go to Home Depot or Lowe's without people asking me about the truck. That said, I haven't seen another around Atlanta.

I think the biggest challenge I’ve encountered with my Maverick is when a brand new lifted Ram or Chevy trucks stops next to me at a stop light and the driver would look at me and starts revving his vehicle. The best part is how amazed I was with my truck every time afterwards!!!

I live in one of Boston’s “bedroom” communities.
Fifty years ago this month, I got my discharge, bought a
Honda 750 to commute to work, (froze my butt off, coming from a tropical deployment!), and ordered a Datsun 240z. Didn’t get it ‘til
August. Thought I’d have the first in town. Nope…….one beat me by about a month.
Now……..due to take delivery last week in Jan, thought I’d be first in town. But Noooooo……..there’s a black EB running around
town. So I’ll be #2 again……half a century apart.

Just because we are all eagled eyed and on the lookout, the reality is you'll not see very many Mavericks for several years.

How many Hyundai Velosters have you seen on the road lately? There are 200,000 of them in the US.

How many Honda Elements have you seen? There were almost 350,000 of those sold in the US.

How many Honda Ridgelines? 450,000 sold in the US (new+old).

Our perception of a hot vehicle, and the reality of total production are not equal! For that matter, how many Broncos or Bronco Sports have you seen so far? A handful, if that I'm guessing.

It'll be years before we see the Maverick with any sort of regularity.

I tend to disagree with this statement, after buying a new model VW rabbit, new model GMC Acadia these vehicles were all the rage, they were everywhere when first introduced. Maverick will dominate the roads, its just taking a while since they are being shipped from Mexico. By summer I predict they will be seen all over, just my opinion. Even the transport documents are showing 8 new Mavs being delivered from Delaware to Philly this week along with a Bronco Sport and an Escape too.

Saw one on 11/15 in a parking lot. I know the date because it was an hour after I officially ordered mine. I pretty much stalked the poor guy to talk to him. He was very receptive but would not let me drive it, some people today.

I have seen 2 Mavs at dealers and one (Cyber Orange) parked in a driveway at a private home. I live in a city of 200,000 people.

I drove mine off the lot on 10/10/21 and it took me until the middle of December to see Maverick in the wild, and that one had WA plates. Living in Sacramento and taking road trips all over the state I am surprised I haven't seen a few more.

I've had people ask me about my truck in parking lots, seen people taking pictures of it as I drive past them, and even had a guy stop and talk to me at my house because he saw it in the driveway.

I became aware of the Maverick in early August. Got mine earl November. HAve yet to see another. I'm in NJ

I spotted my first one yesterday in Sheboygan WI, it was an Area 51 (really surprised to see that color in Wi) looked like XLT by the wheels, I was at a stop light when it went past, I couldn't see if it was either, ECO Hybrid or AWD, it was very dirty from all the road salt used around here.

Not yet but I did spot my second Rivian R1T today. This one was the Compass Yellow color versus the blue one that you see in all the marketing material.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would see two Rivians before my first Maverick. haha
