So we live in a mid sized city in a populous state with 5 Ford dealers within 30 miles of each other but I have only seen 7 actual rigs and only at the dealers.
Today I spotted this fresh off the truck Hybrid Lariat at a dealer awaiting its prep time... first eyes on a Lariat and hybrid for me personally. Never have seen a truck out on the road. I have seen and touched an XL, XLT, AWD and now this white Lariat. Like I said 7 total in the mix.
I am a car/truck guy and can spot vehicles way off........ just not seeing many yet. I know they are being built and sold but it’s odd for me not to see someone out showing their new truck off 🤔
I feel deprived...., yet hopeful when deliveries ramp up. ✔🇺🇸

Pulled up behind an XLT Gray outside of Houston at the Costco gas station Friday morning. Was so excited I pummeled the guy with questions. (Yes, you can fit 3 baby seats across the back row.)........

Asked him if people stop him to talk about the Mav. His repy?

"Dude, it's like I'm driving a Ferrarri!"......

Just because we are all eagled eyed and on the lookout, the reality is you'll not see very many Mavericks for several years.

How many Hyundai Velosters have you seen on the road lately? There are 200,000 of them in the US.

How many Honda Elements have you seen? There were almost 350,000 of those sold in the US.

How many Honda Ridgelines? 450,000 sold in the US (new+old).

Our perception of a hot vehicle, and the reality of total production are not equal! For that matter, how many Broncos or Bronco Sports have you seen so far? A handful, if that I'm guessing.

It'll be years before we see the Maverick with any sort of regularity.

You and your new buddy nailed it. He’s been hit up with questions and folks are curious as the dickens...
So it is just a simple fact of low initial numbers and the high level of interest ✔
Thanks for checking in from Texas.

I saw a Cyber Orange go by a week ago, and the unit I test drove was Iconic Silver. I know at least one person in the area who has received his Area 51 Maverick, but I haven't seen it.

When I pick up our Maverick from Granger Ford in Iowa someday in ‘22, 😇 I will be be driving back West through Murdo SD and down into Yellowstone country.
Perhaps there will be a few more rigs out on the road by then. Hope so ✔🇺🇸

I saw my first one out in the wild last night east of Raleigh, NC on I-40 between Exit 306 and Exit 309. Ironically, I also saw my first Santa Cruz first - about 10 cars ahead of the Maverick. We were in the slow right lane getting ready to exit onto Hwy 70, and they (and many other vehicles) passed us in the left lanes.

Hope so too. Shortly after getting ours we hope to do a road trip out that direction and towards the coast. I just hope that happens this summer and not next winter.

I received my XL hybrid on 12/13 here in SoCal. Before I picked it up I saw 2 FX4 XLT Mavs in the wild. Since then I have not seen another one other than 2 parked at the dealership with 10k mark ups on the windows. The only interest from anyone has been 2 employees from Home Depot and my neighbor who asked why the truck makes no noise when it backs out of the garage. I just think he is happy I no longer have my 392 Hemi Challenger. I'm sure the more that get out there will eventually draw much more interest.

Funny you noted the Santa Cruz. This Ford dealer also is a Hyundai lot, they have two Santa Cruz units available now..... 5K ADM.
No Mavericks other than the ordered Lariat Hybrid awaiting prep-and delivery tomorrow.
Thanks for the input -

Nothing like an “open stack Hemi” to get the neighbors interest. What a change indeed !
Have fun with your new ride ✔🇺🇸

I’m having the exact opposite experience. I’ve had my Maverick just over 1 month now. I’ve driven it 1500 miles around a city (suburbs really) w 195,000 people. I’ve never had ANYONE ask me about it. Not at lowes, the gas station, the gym, the grocery store…
