I recently had to part with my old vehicle and I am anxiously awaiting my Maverick. I called ford a while back and was told their best guess would be "some time in April" based on my order date. but the Ford rep encouraged me to talk to my dealership and get the information on their allocations and their total number of orders so I could get a better idea of where I stand in line.

My dealership has NEVER been willing to share this information with me in the past, when I pressed for allocation information before I was simply told I could rest assured because they were the " 5th largest volume Ford dealer on planet earth"

Today, after asking several times, I finally got my dealer to tell me they have 4 allocations for January.

It seems to suspicious to me that a dealer that claims to be that big is getting so few allocations, or is this just how scarce the allocations are?
Does anyone know?

Can anyone shed any information on the allocation process and is there anyone out there with any advice/information that may help me figure

Ford is only building 5-6k Mavs a month, for the thousands of dealers in all of North America. Just do the math on that.

my dealer rep is clueless about allocations. Says they have always done special orders and just submitted orders and eventually vehicles arrive. No issues. Same with Priority Code. From reading on here I knew 19 was not great and asked if it could be changed to 10. Answer was no, everybody gets 19 and it can't be changed. Again don't worry it always works just fine like this. Bought from them before with no scams or issues, so I'm not stressing about it and seems like people on here try to micro manage the process instead of just letting the system work- even if it isn't perfect and needs fine tuning along the way as they further adopt this model as SOP.

I called Ford today about my order (Sept). I was told it's up to the number of allocations the dealer has - so I contacted the sales guy. At first I was told, over text messages, that I was in good shape because there were over 300 orders for Mavericks at their dealership. That didn't help. I asked where I am in that list - apparently my order number P050 indicates I'm #50. I asked about the number of allocations they have and added that I go by quite often and haven't seen many Mavericks. I was told they've had 8 trucks delivered so far. This too is a high volume dealer and if they're only getting a few trucks a month, I can't imagine how long folks who have orders at low volume dealers will have to wait!

I still haven't been told what their allocation is. Tim seems to be pretty forthcoming with his dealership's numbers.

Allocations And priority codes don't mean shit. It really doesn't matter with their pretzel logic attitude on how they place vehicles into a scheduled for production they're all over the place nobody seems to have a straight answer on who gets what and when. I'll know where my truck is when it's in my Garage

It he isn't a palm reader with a Ouija board and a magic 8 ball, he doesn't know how the allocation system works. 🤣

No dealer will be open about that info unless they have allocations open and are desperate for orders. No dealer is in that position now. They know you are shopping around to get the fastest result. Unfortunately it just comes down to luck or ordering at multiple dealers
